No disgusting, vile drunk posts! Don't infect this thread with foul drunkenness!

Brimike thinks we're in end-of-days, and none of these shows are gonna make TPTB changes before they go dark.

I don't think it's underplaying, just good acting. An actor shouldn't try to steal the thunder from his/her screen partner. Both should effectively play to each others strengths. Sure, one actor may steal a scene from another, but they shouldn't deliberately try to upstage the other. Nobody likes that.

Alvin I think you need to start drinking more milk bud, LoL.

At least one of us is. ;):P

I've said this a number of times, I think Maria needs to keep her EP credit and hand this show over to a proven writer with a fantastic track-record, not a recycled "hack." She might have nice ideas and the best of intentions, but when it comes to writing, her storylines are horribly executed, paced poorly, and come off as if they lack subtances overall in the long-run.

I'm curious, why Casiello though? I don't think anyone of us knows what his strengths and weaknesses as a writer are. I mean, the couple of episodes he's written the breakdown for on this show don't really give a lot away as to why he should be a HW. Also, like Maria, he doesn't have any experience being a HW, so I'm worried as to how that would work out.

So, I decided to drag this out of the Y&R Weekly Thread and post it in Potpourri since it has nothing to do with Weekly Discussion:

Cashton Says:

What makes you, or anyone else, assume that this regime is even remotely interested in "romance" for these characters, especially gay characters? Everything with Hogan/Maria/Scott has been one cheap fling after another and the characters who do have a "romance" are building it off-screen(Nikki/Paul).

Romance does not equal cheap sex at the Abbott Cabin, GCAC Suite, or on Phyllis and Nick's couch.

Oh, and let's not forget Rafe and Adam had sex off-screen. That's how they treat gay couples and gay sex.

Rafe is played by an unproven newbie, Philip III is played by someone who has no interest in acting, just being and at best will be rusty. There has to be a 20 to 25 year difference in age between the two actors and Rafe looks all of 20. This writin regime has shown no interest in love or romance aside from the romance of two senior citizens. To me this is not a recipe for a sweeping romance.

Don't forget Michael and Lauren. They still share the romance in the one scene they share every two or three months.

WELL.... for a little light fun.... many of us have speculated whether in the Adam/Rafe tryst, Rafe was the "giver" or the "reciever". IT SEEMS that if Rafe were versatile, Yani has had PLENTY of trining for the role either way! (These are almost too good to be true)
