Examples of SORASing messing up timelines

Yeah, but they've cooled that down a bit. He was born on Christmas Day 1979, and was in his late teens by 1989-1990 and married to Emily Ann. He was in his mid/late 20s by the time Michael Lowry started to play him in the mid 90s, so I'd say they've kinda aged him at halftime pace since the late 90s.

GH Birth years:

1977- Steven Lars Webber

1979- AJ Quartermaine

1981- Jason Quartermaine

1986- BJ Jones

1989- Lucas Jones

1989- Tommy Hardy Jr.

1990- Maxie Jones

1992- Dillon Quartermaine Hornsby

1993- Serena Baldwin

1994- Lulu Spencer

1995- Georgie Jones

1996- Brooke Lynn Ashton

1997- Michael Corinthos III

2001- Kristina Davis Corinthos

2003- Morgan Corinthos

2004- Cameron Webber Spencer

2006- Molly Lansing

2007- Jake Spencer

Lucas/Maxie were quickly lumped into the same age category, but things got messy when Georgie jumped up about a year behind Maxie, and Dillon somehow jumped up about 3 years to be in line with Lucas. Lulu was worse because she ended up stuck at adolescence until around 2006, while Georgie, who was born after Lulu, was aged much earlier in 2002. Brooke Lynn became part of that same bracket despite 6 years between the Maxie/Brooke Lynn births. It seems now that Michael and Lulu are proportionate ages, but Kristina's just outrageous because she's at LEAST 16 when she was only born 8 years ago. So she's aged twice as fast, while pictures I've seen of the upcoming Molly Lansing place her at what, 10, when she was born three years ago.

Tommy Hardy was born the same year as Lucas in 89, but he's been off the canvas since about 1997, so who knows how old he'd be if they brought that character back.

Sarah and Liz Webber had to have been born sometime between 1981 and 1986 for their ages to line up with characters like Jason and Lucky, but does anyone know what the age difference was supposed to be between BJ and Lucky? BJ died in 1994, but Lucky was already on canvas in 1993, though I feel Lucky was portrayed as older.

Liz's kids are due for aging as well, since they're mixed in there with Morgan and Molly, who have just been aged... but I somehow doubt they'll age Liz's children for a while.

BJ would be however old Maxie is, within a year. So now Lucky would be a good few years older than her, and at the time of her death i think he was a few years older than her too.

I dont see Liz's kids getting aged anytime soon either.

Also, for the record, how old is Kristina? Do we know? I am thinking they are going for 15.

Yeah Lucky was born in 1985 offscreen (Laura announced her pregnancy in late 84) but was 11 in 1993 when they returned (i'm guessing they did this to make Lucky a little more independent than an 8 year old would be and to make him a peer for Sly Eckert who was about to be orphaned).

BJ on the other hand remained at her natural age (so Lucky was supposed to have been four years older than her) and was 7 when she died (they always referred to what would have been her real age for several years after she died). Maxie actually caught up with BJ when Robyn Richards was cast in the role of Maxie, while I think Lucas stayed at his natural age and then actually got De-sorased for a time (An actor two and a half years years younger than Lucas' real age was playing him between 1998 and 2002) before catching up to Maxie in 2002.

I believe Kristina is 15.

GH has always maintained that Luke and Laura married in 1981 which really doesn't add up to how old Lucky and Nikolas are supposed to be now.

Y&R's recent aging of Summer kind of throws off everything surrounding Nicholas and Sharon's break-up. They recently marked on screen that it had been 4 years since Cassie's death and Summer was born after that. I am no good trying to figure out ages but Summer appears to be at least 5.

I think out of all rapid-agings out there on soaps, the one that really spoke volumes about the powers-that-be just not giving a damn about history, timeline, or reasoning was the random rapid-aging of Rick & Mel's daughter, Leah Bauer, on GL a few years back. It throws the timeline off so much in regards to Rick, Harley, etc. and even worse yet was the fact that her rapid-aging brought absolutely nothing to the storyline. There was no point to it AT ALL.

Since I am behind on Y&R, the other day I just saw the episodes surrounding Cassie's death anniversary. And it was ridiculous as hell when Sharon/Nick/Noah were talking how Cassie died FOUR years ago, yet Noah aged 10 years during that period. LOL Hell, even Summer, who wasn't even born when Cassie died, is now what.. 6?

They need to stop SORAS-ing kids. It's ridiculous.

B&B has also screwed up their timeline completely with SORASing and de-SORASing.

Take Marcus for instance. Donna is supposed to have had him in high school, which would make him older than Rick and Bridget. Donna was out of high school when the show started and both Rick and Bridget were born several years into the show's run. But now Marcus is portrayed as more close in age to Steffy, who was born when Rick was already old enough to be married and have a child of his own.

Katie and Bridget are portrayed as being relatively close in age, at least that's the impression I get, but in reality Katie would be at least 20 years older than Bridget.

Hope is another example. She was born before Taylor was shot and "killed" by Sheila, but while Taylor's own children aged from kids to teenagers during her absence, Hope barely aged at all.

They also mentioned repeatedly that Brooke had been a part of the Forrester's life for twenty years, even when she had children who were decidedly older than twenty. So, she gave birth to Rick and Bridget before she even met the Forresters!

I don't think Y&R makes a point of saying Nikki and Victor were still supposed to have met in the 80's, this would be true anytime a show ages a character but they normally don't mention the years then, but Y&R shouldn't of mentioned a year for Cassie's passing.

Hey Manny. The Young And The Restless is Pretty Bad. They have Cassie Died when she was 4. Nick couldn't Talk to Sharon so Phyllis Comforted Nick and She got Pregnant and that is how Summer was Born. Now, Summer looks at least 5. Then, Noah SORASED Around 10 Years. Even if he could Add 2 Years to Each Year; Noah would only have SORASED 8 Years. Where are the Other 2 Years ? LOL ! However, It would be Even More Ridiculous if Spike became 8. Spike is Kendall's Little Boy on All My Children. There were Rumors that Charles Pratt was going to make Spike be 8. Charles Pratt is the Head Writer on All My Children. Miranda is 5 and Bianca Took Miranda to Paris. Then, Bianca and Miranda came back to Erica's Wedding. That was in May of 2005. Then, Bianca and Miranda came back to Pine Valley for Christmas. Then, Bianca and Miranda came to Pine Valley when Bianca's Sister Kendall was in A Coma and Spike was Born. Now, if They would make It be that Miranda was 8 and Spike was 5, then Ok. However, You Can't have It be that Spike is 8 and Miranda is 5. Another thing is that Emma is 6 and She is Spike's Big Sister. Another thing is that Spike is Either 2 or 3 and His Brother I think is 1. Spike can't be around 7 Years Older than Ian. Another thing is that Kendall was in the Hospital 3 Weeks because Ian had Surgery for A Bad Heart. Kendall can't have A 3 Year Old and 3 Weeks Later have A 8 Year Old. If A Week could be A Year, then 3+3=6. 6 is Not 8. Of Course, A Week is Not A Year. Kendall would go home and say Who is that 8 Year Old Boy. Spike would say Mommy and Kendall would say I'm Not Your Mommy. Thankfully, It Looks like They have Decided Not to SORAS Spike. Jody
