Thank you very much! :)

People in violet — a meeting with thorough analysis of writing samples would be needed!

Honestly, I would also love to see some of these head writers hire a new, young, fresh dialogue writer. Someone who hasn't worked in daytime before, but is very good. These same recycled, from-soap-to-soap writers are annoying... More than their hopping from one soap to the other...

Sylph, what is it about Natalie that rubs you the wrong way?

Interesting how some people's opinions on this topic seemed to be valued above the others. Just an observation.

Not necessarily valued. People just want to know.

No, it's not just an observation.

You mean Alvin doesn't value your opinion as much as mine? Oh, but Alvin and I disagree about a whole bunch of things! Like about Ferri & Esser, e.g. Trent Jones also.

Tons of stuff. :)

Also, it means that people just write down names without any real knowledge about how these people would actually write. It's just important that you write writer X Y, it doesn't mean that a person knows a thing about what kind of a writer writer X Y actually is.

Yeah, and once again the two of you know everything there is to know about writing. Hmmmm. Interesting. NOT.

And for the record, my post was not referencing anything about what I had suggested. Actually, I couldn't care less if someone agrees with me or not. That's not why I post in any thread.

Y'all can get back to your pontificating on Y&R's HW now. It's so enthralling.:blink::blink:

Sylph dear, Ferri & Esser?:lol::lol:

What were you referencing? Those allusions won't get you anywhere. People will just be more and more sarcastic until you state clearly what you meant.

No one claimed we knew everything, and this topic is interesting for some, and not for others, like any topic posted on a message board. We were looking for more informed opinions than just Victoria Rowell wrote a book, so that would make her an ideal HW for a soap or something, or just promoting this or that writer without any real evidence as to why that writer would be good.

But it is for those of us who adore talk about writing and writers in general.
