Because Case is a very different type of actress. If you look at those who are constantly nominated, they're very raw actresses, sort of unpredictable. I think that Stafford, Zimmer, West, Flannery, Tognoni, Chappell, Tom (when she was Victoria) all have something very similar about the way they approach material - they are very forceful and dynamic, they can really command a scene. They all have a very big presence onscreen.

Yes. I think understated, in general, sometimes gets misinterpreted as "lazy". But there is no doubt, especially now, that Case is doing the work of her career.

Speaking of Case and the Emmys has anyone notice (with the exception of this year) the lack of recognition that goes to the actresses who play heroines? It's like if you play a "good" character on a soap, you can forget about real recognition (unless you're Erika Slezak). Again, not counting this year's fluke of nominations. Just a thought.

Anyway I do think Case has been doing some of the best work of her career, I'm enjoying her tremendously.

His face always looks like it's about to explode.

He has a tendeny to get very pink too.

I like Phyllis with Jack, and I know some didn't like them. But I always felt like they were themselves around each other, they weren't afraid to show the good, the bad, and the ugly in one another's presence. I've felt Phyllis comes off as too phony with Nick. She compromises her integrity around him a bit too much. Some might say that's Phyllis trying to be a better person, I say that's just boring and not interesting.

Those pictures of nu-Adam were interesting. Way-to-go Errol for getting pics within 24 hours!!!!!!!!

He gives off an angry intensity in those pics...but not the cuteness. Oh well, that's okay. I think he may work well for this new "perverse" and "twisted" villainous Adam.

JM seems to admire MS (understandable), maybe she is comfortable with the fact that he looks upto her and it affects her performances with him. What-ever it is I'm glad it has seemed to stop and MS is back as the real Phyllis in so many ways.

He looks good. It's kind of weird the way this all happened practically overnight though. Y&R had to have been having problems with CE for awhile. I wonder if they were going to fire him if he didn't break his contact, since it seems like they had MM waiting iin the wings.
