I always thought it was strange that Josie didn't start using the name Matthews after she found out Russ was her father.  I realize Russ and Josie never had the closest relationship, but Josie continued to use the name Watts.  Floyd Watts had been Sharlene's first husband who died years before Josie was even born.  So Josie had absolutelyy no connection to or relationship with  that man.  If I'm not mistaken, I believe Floyd had been killed in Vietnam before Sharlene ever showed up in Bay City the first time.

Yes, that was interesting. I don't think she ever went by Sinclair when she was married to Gary either, did she? Maybe if Russ had stayed around longer it would have happened eventually. Do you remember, did Sharlene go by Matthews when she was originally married to Russ?

Now, this makes zero sense to me but I can only make a wild guess that this is meant to be a dig at me because of my recent post about JFP & the murder of Frankie Frame. So, to clarify, I have always said that I am not an insider. I am not taking over any threads. And, I have not changed what I have described as happening from my point of view. So, all of this is entirely without merit & only nonsense. Jill, focus groups, Paulina or Frankie, all of it, no changes!!! And, also, NOT misinformation. 

I've said before & I am glad to repeat it. I think we all of us do better when we post talking about the topic at hand & NOT about each other. I have nothing to say about these 2 posters.

Thanks. I remembered very little of this other than the fact that it existed but before I looked at it something deep in my brain said "twins" and to my amazement that was right.

I have only just glanced at the opening and I marvelled at the odd choice to dub the jingle when Steve Schnetzer is singing alone (both in the ad and when he walks into the room live) but not the little bit where Rita Moreno sings it with him. I mean obviously they're not going to have to dub her singing voice but the contrast is so glaring I would have wanted to handle it some other way.

You're right. That really is jarring. Reminds me of bad UK dubs of US ads.

A few things I've happened upon recently. 

First a picture of Ralph Camargo acting as a Justice of the Peace, marrying Rachel & Mac, some marriage. Camargo is the father of Victoria Wyndham & Felice Camargo. VW & Felice both worked on GL. Then VW was cast as Rachel, of course. Felice became her manager. Ralph Camargo was Mexican-American. Out of Chicago he & his wife worked extensively in soaps on radio. Then when soaps moved to TV he had a much harder time finding work. When you couldn't see him, when you just heard his voice he did not face racial discrimination. When the visual was added & you could see him, he began to face racial discrimination. He was very outspoken in urging his daughters to not use the Camargo name. VW's son who acts, Christian was proud of his family heritage & has taken Camargo as the surname he uses. VW & Felice's mother, Florence Skeels also acted on soaps & she & her husband both worked on the stage, too. 

Next 2 newspaper articles about the same people & subjects.

Great Information.  And if my memory is correct, Ralph Camargo played a Supreme Court justice on AW -- an old New York friend of Mac Cory.  So there stands working-class Rachel Davis before a Supreme Court justice, as she marries Mac.  Lemay took us into the world of the very wealthy, but in a believable way.
