But it seemed like a month and a half. LOL. I wonder if the plan was always for Shelley to stay only two weeks? Or was the original plan for her to stay until McKenszie was ready to return, but Shelley's run was truncated because of audience complaints?? I'm sure there is no way to answer this accurately -- too long ago, I'm afraid. Although I believe Tom King is still living, and he was the head-writer at that time. At least I think he was. Is anybody here in touch with Tom King?? Edited January 25, 2025Jan 25 by Mona Kane Croft

Is anybody here in touch with Tom King?? I would guess it may have just been long enough to wrap up the Cecile/Iris storyline. Shelley had a busy theater career, so she probably had a set limit. 5 hours ago, AbcNbc247 said: According to AWHP, she only played Iris from March 11-April 3 She's listed in their synopses up to the week of the 7th-11th, although that may just be mentions of her - I could swear I remember a scene of her saying she's going on a cruise though. I'm thinking that it was Carole Shelley's Iris who left on the cruise, and that the Tune in Tomorrow synopses were just off a little. Cecile leaving Philip at the altar happened on Monday March 31, so I imagine that Cecile exposing Iris' schemes to Brian and Brian deciding to divorce Iris happened that same week. Or even in the same episode.

Okay, I was wrong. My friend's AW writer friend is not Tom King. (I was so certain! Darn.) But, he was there at the time & my friend does not have to even ask the question because Mysterious AW writer has mentioned the Carole Shelley temp recast. The temp recast time was always meant to be as short as possible.

January 27, 2025Jan 27 Member We've watched so much lately that I haven't had time to comment about, so from now on, I'll post on the episodes that really leave an impression on me. I'll try to be as regular as possible. But I'll skip a commentary if an episode was somewhat dull or filler.
