Oh. You have my sympathies.

Sorry, MarkH. I was only referencing that post I'd made several days ago regarding your (alleged) expensive education. I wasn't trying to stir up more drama. I promise! B)

And I watched a lot of "Roseanne" in college. ("Roseanne"'s series finale, by the way, quoted that "dream quote" from T.E. Lawrence. WHo says TV rots your brain?)

Perhaps. But then, we'd have to listen to all those anti-AshBash-ers complain how she lets too much of her acting ability escape through the gap in her teeth. (I tell you, when it comes to this character and whoever's portraying her, there's just no pleasin' anyone, lol!)

And I don't think there's supposed to be. I think we're supposed to see that Chloe is in way over her head with her marriage. I wish, though, that someone would come along and see in her all the wonderful qualities that we are supposed to. Otherwise...? I just ain't feelin' her.

Ehhh, give Hogan complete control and watch this show fall apart faster than it did with LML.

This is a team effort. maria, hogie, ep's, actors, everyone. Nobody deserves ALL the credit.

LOL, i got you covered!

I think they undid kay/jill and mac/billy HAD to played when that was undone. No way around it, it HAD to happen. I think Mac/Cane is the way to go if they follow chem, however i want to see Mac let her gaurd down and see what kind of chem we get between Miller & Ford then.

LOL, that exactly why i googled it. I knew the quote from somewhere! I didnt find out where, but it did pop up the name.

I am a ashbash hater, and i guarantee you it has nothing to do with teeth! LOL.

However, this role does seem near imposable.

I think it's hard to please the majority because Mac is an atypical soap character, but that's what I love about her. I adored Ash

and I like Clem so far.

Nick. You deserve what Victor will eventually dish out.

They had a lot of chemistry in all of the flashbacks in NY, even when they "happened" to bump into each other at that newsstand. Not anymore though.

Billy in the hospital? Again? Jeez.

Mac is only working in Billy's imagination. It's so obvious that they don't belong together anymore. And Mac may still want to be with him but even if they were to have an affair, she'd eventually see that her rational behind refusing him since her return was all right. Billy's really too immature for. She'll have to see that eventually.

Agree, agree, agree and WORD!

And this is coming from a Sheffer fan, but yes - Hogan on his own would not work. Sometimes, you just get the right combination of people, and the stars align, and it works. For whatever bizarre reason, a Bell wife who hasn't written for daytime in 20 years, LML's second-in-command, and an incredibly divisive former head writer known for completely changing the tone of the last two shows he head wrote for and pissing off long-term fans... it's working. Not perfectly (as others have said, there are problems, like pacing, the Winters, balance, etc) But better than it has in awhile. I don't have the first clue why - and I don't think there is a reason. Same way Sheffer/Culliton worked, and Sheffer/Passanante didn't on ATWT. Same way Claire Labine and Kids worked on GH, but not on OLTL. It's just one of those things, where the Head Writing team, the EP, the actors, and the stories all happen to click for a brief moment in time (relatively speaking).

But no one person deserves all the credit. Ever. It's all about what qualities one brings out in the other, and the ways one influences the other. And sometimes it's for the better, and sometimes it's for the worse. But any of them on their own? Probably would be a disaster.

I don't know if a Bell should write this show. MAB isn't a Bell by blood so it's not like she is walking around with Bill Bell Sr.'s blood running through her veins. Bradley Bell is a Bell and a terrible writer, look at B&B.

Anyone person who has respect for the show's history and understands it's character's and the way they act and the things they do, is fully competent IMO to head write Y&R and any other show for that matter.

A good writer must be intelligent, objective and socially aware. They must be concise and true to the show's roots.
