May 3, 200917 yr Member Then it opens up this whole avenue of questions about Cane and Phillip III. Yeah - and, of course, Lily could relate, since her uncle turned out to be her biological father. (What? You didn't know that? Well, I don't know what to tell you, 'cept it's true!) So, Cane and Lily go on a fact-finding mission to uncover his true identity. This being a soap opera, of course, Cane turns out to have ties to someone already living in Genoa City...or someone who used to live in Genoa City...like Jill's own biological father. Going from "son" to "half-brother" is a stretch, I admit, but it would solve the issue of matching DNA results while undoing the ridiculous Cane-is-Phillip tale. Edited May 3, 200917 yr by Khan

Or Lily and Cane go on the fact finding mission never to be seen or heard from again?

May 3, 200917 yr Member Glad that Esther got to confront Roger one more time. Chloe needs to seek out her dad at some point-maybe he and Jill could hook up.That would cause a lot of complications. Nina just arrived at the wedding, with no coat or purse? Loks like Mary Jane will be Patty, umless MAB is really into foolin' us.
May 3, 200917 yr Member My wish is that Victor is gaslighting Assley so that everyone in town can gather around and say, "BLAME YOURSELF!"
May 3, 200917 yr Member My wish is that Victor is gaslighting Assley so that everyone in town can gather around and say, "BLAME YOURSELF!" Since many of us find Victor to be TOO nasty these days...worse than he usually is...I think reminding us that he's got a chronic condition that alters his behavior when he is not on top of it...could go a long way toward humanizing him. If he could be just a bit more relatable, I think this whole tale with Ashley could be more interesting.
May 3, 200917 yr Member Nikki looked disgusting at the wedding. That dress-do you iron it or water it? How long has Jennifer Johns been doing the wadrobe?Recently, more often than not,the women look awful. Has there been a severe budget cut in that department? Melody's weight gain has been accentuated by her outfits. Maybe CBS sent her and Kim Zimmer to a plus size outlet store at a mall in Billings Montana with $500 to splash around.
May 3, 200917 yr Member Cane needs to just die. Agreed! I almost threw up in my mouth last week when Lilly made a reference to having "little Cane's running around."
May 4, 200917 yr Member But were their complaints addressed by Bill Bell? Look at Eric Breaden for example. Punching a director, a fellow actor, and he's still around. Clearly he was no walk in the park to work with. I just get the impression that Bill Bell was like the prison warden. When he was not around, the other jail officers (the producers, directors) treated the prisoners (Bauer, Dickson) as they pleased and it never got back to the warden, only their complaints. I know Brenda Dickson is a wack job, but I believe the things she said actually that took place behind the scenes. I mean look at MTS for example, she married the EP. I definitely feel like partiality took place on that set. Also, if Bauer had young children and asked for a slightly reduced work schedule, was that really a big problem to grant her? Especially since the Abbotts and the Newman's were becoming so popular? It brings more validity to the idea that Bell wanted them gone and also the possibility that he allowed his producers to force them out. Or, Bell had plans of how to phase them out if they were opting to leave under the notions from his producers and directors that those actors wanted out, and it was those producers and directors who really wanted those characters gone. If Bell wanted his original cast with the except of Jill all gone, that's fine, it's his show and his vision, but why beat around the bush and not say "okay, I want them gone." I think more than anything it may be a gender issue, and sadly is still around. Bergman, braden, and other males who are outspoken and somewhat difficult to work with are kept on and not punished, as far as we know. Baur, Dickson, Rowell... even Peeples are outspoken and perhaps difficult to work with and are fired...
