Y&R's New Jill?

Is Jess Walton leaving Y&R or is the show casting Katherine Chancellor's biological daughter? A casting call went out for Jill Abbott today, to start shooting ASAP. The show is seeking an "established actress" for the contract role. She is described as "late '50s, Caucasian, female. This sexy, fiery woman is a smart and confident CEO of a successful company. While she is strong and can hold her own, she is also a mother and grandmother who wants what is best for her family." An insider says Walton has been under the weather lately, so it could just be a temporary recast. Check back with soapoperadigest.com for more.

Hmm I wonder who'll they'll get. These temp recast sometimes do turn out good, I remember when Carmen Duncan stepped in for Eileen Fulton as Lisa on ATWT, and I loved it.

I wonder if they could get Brenda Dickinson to do a couple of eps...

Eric Braeden would love that.

This isn't the first time Jesse has been temporarily replaced. She's been sick and they've had to temporarily recast before, I think like twice.

Hahahahhaha... I would love to see Brenda for a couple of eps, but it would take a miracle for something like that.

I would give Brenda a second chance. She would have to dye her hair, big time. It will never happen.

I would be watching Y&R again if she came back.

Anna Stuart would be AWESOME. That is a great choice. I would actually love to see Genie Francis as Jill. It would be the proper F-U to GH. I think she would be AMAZING.

I am a little worried about Jess Walton, I hope this is nothing serious. Its a little scary. So above anything else, I hope Jess is fine and will be back soon.

I love Fiona, but she looks ways too young for Jill.

Anna Stuart would rock as a temp Jill. She does bitchy, yet vulnerable very well. She'd rock as the high profile executive bitch that Jill is.

Above all, I just hope Jess Walton recovers quickly.

I remember in the spring of 1992, Judith Chapman filled in for Jess Walton on a few episodes.

First of all: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Second, they should hire back Deborah Adair if they need to temp-recast.

That is what I have been chanting:

Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair Adair

I realize she is TOTALLY different, but she was my favorite Jill and for a little while, I'd love to see how she played with the current canvas and storyline. Adair's Jill and Jeanne didn't have that much to do with each other, as I recall.
