That's a great thought about Hunt Block' character being Rex's dad. Especially since he thinks of Bo as his seragate father now and it was Block's character that got Bo fired as police commissioner. Ramsay also had problems with John, Todd and Marty. He would definitely have the resources and connections to facilitate such a plot. The only other person I could think of is Victor lord. There was a scene at Asa’s funeral, when Dorian and Vicki were locked in the wine cellar, where Dorian mentioned the “Victor Returns” debacle of past. She mentioned that if that was even the real “Victor” and that she, meaning Dorian, had killed him. But the storyline was dropped after that and never mentioned again. If not these two then it would have to be Mitch.

That would not surprise me at all. One thing Ron does well is converge unrelated storylines- so that would be interesting.

I like the suspense regarding Roxy and the hopital room. OLTL could learn a few lessons from Y&R in knowing when to slow things down and BUILD suspense. And also stop putting new characters wham bam front burner like Stacey. It is so simple to me, but ABC is so dumb in that way.

Well, Y&R used to move like a barge through molasses, but OLTL did have me feeling like an old-school soap fan today. And of COURSE Stace knows Schuy.

It's interesting that you mention the serial killer s/l, because that's exactly what I thought that scene was going to be about when Roxie slowly opened the door to the hospital room.

Hi. I know nothing about the show. Never watched it (actually, I'm lying, I saw one episode - Dillon Quartermaine's debut hehe). But I saw some promos with the serial killer attacking Blair and I found myself intrigued. Is it a good show? Do you recommend it?

loved watching Ilene Kristen work it!!! loved her as Delia during RH and I have felt that OLTL has wasted her talent during her tenure on OLTL!

I have a feeling it's Mitch, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Mitch bring Natalie to Roxy as a newborn??

loved Bo and Matthew's talk, but I see it as a prequel of what is to come!

KA needs to move away from BB, he tends to pull her down lately, maybe that will change with the coming storyline!

Stacy is the new version of Natalie, comes to town and wants her sisters life....can't the writers come up with something more original

Dorian and David - hit it out of the park!!! I just wished they had David having a "scene" with Bo telling him what he todl Dorian!

Rhino, that is funny you should mention that I was going to ask what happened with that!?!?!

It was character driven and made complete sense for Natalie to feel the way she did- I was really looking forward to Natalie vs. Jessica and it seems to have been completely derailed.

Dumb move.

And it is soap writing 101 regarding new characters- I don't know why OLTL has to make such stupid mistakes in terms of introducing new characters.

I got the feeling they were going to draw this parallel today, when Natalie met Stacy. When Stacy walked out, Natalie watched her go and seemed to immediately see what Stacy was up to. Hopefully this will remind Natalie of her past with Jessica/Seth, and it will spark more of a genuine friendship with Gigi as she warns Gigi about Stacy's designs on Rex.

    • Thank you very much for the information!!! All the episodes that person sells are the ones which appear or have appeared in youtube, and some have wrong dates.  Due to that, I guess some people, who have rare and inedite episodes, refuse to upload them in internet, because then, others make money. I hope ABC create a place in the net where we can see all the available episodes they must have, as Retro tv did with the Doctors!!!! Retro tv did an awesome job!!!! Have a look :

    • Dina was Jack, Ashley and Tracy's mom on Y&R.  Joanna was Lauren Fenmore's mother, played by Susan Seaworth-Hayes.
    • The funeral was not onscreen - only the Brooks returning home after the service. Not aware of any available clips.
    • Very very well said!!!

I would only add that Sam Ratcliff is frequently named in regards to certain AW comedic turns.  And, we know from Carolyn Culliton (tweet 2024) that Sam & Gary put their heads together & came up with that gorilla.
    • I knew you would be so excited seeing your girl Brookey as #1!!!! She also WINS as to Frequently Married!!!
    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
