Just started watching...and wow, I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but Zach is an absolute ass who needs to just go back to that god-forsaken bunker hole and die for good. I can't believe he just told Reese she doesn't deserve her daughter! Sure, Reese is totally in the wrong too, but he's just telling everyone that they are pretty much the scum of the universe and don't deserve anything in life (Reese, Bianca, Erica...) --- which is so confusing considering HE IS THE MAIN ONE AT FAULT HERE!

Zach didn't tell Reese she didn't deserve Gabby, per se....he said it was best for her to let it go and not go up against the Kane women in court--which is probably good advice. She came to him for help, but she certainly didn't have to take his word as gospel. Also, he was being totally sarcastic in his "trashing" of Reese at Confusion and was staring a hole through Bianca while he was doing it. It had an effect on Binks too, because it was after that that she softened in her attitude toward Reese. So really, Zach helped Reese in a roundabout way. She decided to take his advice and let Gabby go, but she certainly wasn't forced to.

On other fronts....that Opal/Ryan seance was beyond hilarious. What the hell is wrong with CM? His acting is killing this storyline, and not in a good way. How is anyone supposed to feel Ryan's grief when all CM keeps doing is turning up the rage-a-holic meter? It's stupid and laughable.

I guess the writers think we will just naturally feel it just like we were naturally supposed to see why Zach did what he did for Kendall in killing Josh.

Sorry it didn't work. Only Ryan's fans are feeling for him just like only Zach/Kendall fans saw the great love in what Zach did.

The rest of the fans aren't buying any of it because the acting and the writing together are just not selling either scenario.

It was either the confused lesbian or his wife, her mother and her sister since it's never him, lol. He was clearly only joining in to try to get points with Kendall. Until I actually watched it with my own eyes I thought he was plain mocking the Kane clan there (and I'm not saying they didn't deserve it as they were behaving like a group of witches, but not from his a$s), then I realized that while he was mocking them he was also willing to join in the purpose, lol. Zach is on team Get Laid by Mrs. Hart-Slater. The best part of it all was his half-a$s/smart-a$s attempt not getting him anywhere but in a cold room in the basement.

The only thing missing from the Reese scenes was Kendall and Erica beating her while they called her homophobic names. Heavy-handed, lol. Maybe if they spent more time building Bianca and Reese's connection with their baby then Reese and Zach's connection, or Reese and Bianca kissing the best daddy ever's butt, I would have cared more than I do. I care in a simplistic "innocent children" level.

I'm starting to love David again which is intriguing since he's still not much more than dark. Right now, I like how he's creeping me out and I like that there's more mystery (and less stupid) to what he's plotting. Be afraid Amanda, be very afraid. I am, lol. I hope they reveal the baby is Jake's at the last minute right when David believes he's conquered everything.

The goodbye scene between them was hot. Ryopal 4-ever!

I actually could have seen some love-story spin in the Zach thing if he hadn't been so cold-blooded and callous, it felt like he killed him more because he wanted to (his "excuse" for everything) than out of desperation. No conflict, not good. Lets move on to Ryan, sigh, Rylee pretty much sucked so couldn't they have just had Greenlee find Leo at her wedding and leave with him? She could have left a Dear Ryan. Nah doing that would have deprived us of the a$siest fued ever and they couldn't do that. I'm not sure that we're not supposed to see Ryan as over the top and a little bit crazy since everybody is mentioning he's nuts and blinded by rage. With Zach, there was almost a hero thing after the shooting (from his lesbians) then no more mention.

I'm still waiting for a scene between Bianca and Kendall where Bianca explains why she didn't tell her sister that Zach was the donor. Bianca doesn't grasp how big a betrayal this is. When Bianca said today that understanding was not part of Kendall's vocabulary I wanted to slap her.

The whole spermgate story has been one huge cluster. I was upset when I first heard about the story but I thought at least we'll get some good Kinks scenes out of it. There have been a couple very short scenes between the sisters but nothing that dived down to the issue. This story seems to be more about creating another obstacle for Zendall.

I think it would have been more interesting to go the custody route but with the short term contracts I understand why they are not going that route.

I want to see that too but I also want Zach to own up to why he didn't. Of all people he should have told Kendall especially after he preached to her about not telling him she slept with Aidan. And then he goes and does this and doesn't tell her.

Both of them should have told her but Zach not telling her bothers me a lot because he acted so sanctimonious with Kendall over the Aidan thing.

    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

    • I decided this primetime soap deserved it's own thread as the Primetime soaps thread is very cluttered and why shouldn't NBC's Lorimar soap mot have a chance to shine? In doing a deeper dive into the second season ratings I was surprised to see that FR actually had an uptick in the ratings when NBC moved it to 9pm Tuesdays beginning March 82. I'd always assumed this move was a desperate one as NBC were running short of programming and had given up on the show, deciding to let the final episodes play out and be hammered by 3's Company  and CBS Movie. But the numbers paint a different story. In it's 10pm slot up against Hart to Hart, which regularly finished in the Top 20, FL premiered in 53rd place and placed in the 40's and 50's as the season continued. But come January 82 the numbers surged a little now moving into the 40's hitting #43 in Feb. Hart to Hart was #11 Then in March Bret Maverick was moved to 8pm with FR @9. First week 16th March FR #47 15.1/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Not great but #2 in it's timeslot March 23 FR #44 15.6/25 3's Company #4 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #33 So even with a stronger movie on CBS FR's numbers went up. March 30 FR #31 16.6/26 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #56 Best rating/position yet Tues April 6 pre empted Tues April 14 FR #36 16.0/26 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #11 CBS Movie #59 Maintaining previous week's numbers Tues April 21 FR #33 15.6/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Numbers down a little (reflecting general spring downturn) but best ranking of the season so far Tues April 28 FR #35 15.1/23 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #6 CBS Movie #42 Tues May 4 FR #27 15.2/24 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #4 CBS Movie #41 Season finale and highest position of the season. Looking at those numbers I wonder why NBC cancelled the show? They had very few hits and here was a show that was holding it's own and moving up in the rankings in a tougher timeslot. And being a serial, the storylines could continue to build the following season. And I'm sure the desirable W18-49 demo was good. Some might argue that CBS were shower weaker movies, but even so, soap viewers are pretty loyal. I guess Grant Tinker arrived at NBC and wanted a classier look but there was room for FR on the schedule. I mean, the following season Knight Rider,Powers of Matthew Star and the A Team arrived so there was still room for more populist fare. Flamingo could have stayed at 9pm-the replacement Gavilan bombed (surely FR would have done better} or moved back to 10pm. The following Jan NBC had a hit with A Team Tues 8pm. Had Flamingo followed it, it might have really taken off. As it was they tried Bare Essence, which flopped. Oh well,it was not to be...
    • Always, in every way, Cass/Wally/Felicia foundational to my viewing. And, I think if we look at the aftermath of the disastrous 90 minute show that we find too many pockets of some kind of lost time at the show plus way too much of change-ups in exec & writing leadership and of course we also reach the first time it becomes notable that NBC wants to get rid of the show so they can put a new soap they own in the timeslot.
    • If the MAGAts were easy prey enough to get manipulated into voting for the tangerine-tinted terror, they'll fall for anything.
