As for Nelson's blind items, has any of them EVER proven to be true?

LOL most of them he steals from Daytime Confidential and even they admitted some of theirs were about primetime shows

We get that blind item earlier in the week about an actor, most likely David Canary possibly being phased on for not remembering lines, then today we get a blurb about how hot he is for a 70 year old man. Very schizo reporting here.....

Now you see why I find it hard to take anything he posts seriously? ;)

Yeah.... I've always usually taken him with a grain of salt as well.... but I find his tongue and cheek way of delivering his "new" hilarious as hell. He's a [!@#$%^&*] disturber.... and its obviously working. He gets people talking

I am not sure if he has ever been proven right with one of his blind items..... however he was the one that did break the Lisa Hesser thing or what ever her name is right? Or was that stolen from DC?

Also wasn;t he one of the first to jump on Pratt joining AMC? I can't honestly remember.

BEHIND THE LENS:

DGA nominees announced!

Lights, camera, acceptance speeches! One of my favourite soap directors, OLTL’s Larry Carpenter, will compete with GH’s overrated William Ludel and Owen Renfroe, DAYS’ mediocre Noel Maxam and Herb Stein. The winners will be announced at the 61st Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Jan. 31 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

What a dumbass, Renfroe and Maxam directed the best episodes of the bunch. He probably didn't know which epsiodes were nominated.

Seriously....Amelia Heinle, Christel Khalil and BRYTON (he got one Emmy undeserved, STOP nominating him then, PLEASE)?????? WTF???

As for the blind items, any guesses?

I can't remember LOL, but he did get the tornado right though. He's gotten a few things right, but for the most part, he's more miss than hit.

And so far, Scott Clifton (Dillon) is impressing the thong off of me.

Nelson, honey? If you're reading this? You have no business referring to your thong at all. Sweet Jebus!

He'll never let the Thong-Gate thing with Cam-Mat go.... even after it was shown not to be a thong at all.

and BRYTON (he got one Emmy undeserved

He deserved his Emmy.

If Graziadei can be nominated all the time so can McClure.

Frankly, Nelson won't let Thong-Gate go, b/c it feeds his masturbatory fantasies for Cameron.

(You know it does, Nelson, don't lie.)

Ugh, Katie is Eric's daugther? Heather Tom is getting some pretty crappy stories. (Although the one now is good).

Maybe a few years ago this would've been okay, but with so much inter-family relations going on at the moment, we don't need this thrown in. I don't even know how that would come up. We can't have a medical story, both of those characters went through that this past year.

The only person she wouldn't be related to is Ridge. (And Thomas/Steffy). Wouldn't change her relationship with Nick though.

Oh, Nelson. Where to begin?

• The cast is raving that La Lucci turned in one hell of a performance when Erica must decide between saving Josh or Kendall. The Emmy winner tells Soap Opera Digest, “The first thought that came to my mind when I was told the storyline and read the script was Sophie’s Choice.” Who also thinks that Zach shot Josh on purpose? Well, Thorsten Kaye (Zach) does, according to Lucci. And hey, who can blame him? He should get a medal. In fact, if Zach is still trigger-happy, The Suds Report would be happy to assign him a few more mercy killings.

Whaaaa? How about Zach turns the gun on himself, murders himself, dies, and then the doctors say "Oh wait, look, see? Zach can't give his heart to Kendall because he doesn't have one. So Kendall dies too? All right." That works for me.

• Is there a cover of Men’s Health in Emmy winner David Canary’s (Adam/Stuart) future? Everyone on the set of AMC raves how in shape the Emmy winner is. The vet goes jogging for an hour a day, and he’s pumping iron for an hour and a half. “If David took his shirt off, fans would salivate,” claims a co-star.

Canary IS a sexy 70-year-old.

• Eric and Kyle, who? Former GH: NS head writer Sri Rao told The Suds Report he was happy Luke and Noah finally had sex. "Hot,” he says. “Good for them. One small step for Nuke, one giant leap for daytime...”

And a giant leap backwards for couples that make sense.

• Executive producer Christopher Goutman keeps employing his pals, instead of you know — the stars viewers want to see. As previously reported, Kristina Sisco Romero (ex-Abigail) directed the Jan. 15 episode. “It was quite by happenstance, because my talent manager and I had seen some rumours on the Internet that they were thinking about bringing Abigail back to the show,” Romero tells Digest. Let’s not and say we did.

I don't get it......so he's upset because Kristina Sisco directed an episode? I didn't realize that ATWT's directing team is/was made up of "stars" who have been replaced by Goutman's "pals."

• Did you catch last week’s hilarious Desperate Housewives? In the episode, Andrew’s future mother-in-law threatened to move her future son-in-law and son to Oakdale. Thankfully, Bree put a stop to that because Andrew wouldn’t have any sex in Oakdale. Or, he’d end up married to an Iraqi hair model.

Andrew is 7894570972359807234985794673324589864578629875692837465783465 times better than Luke and Noah combined.

Meanwhile, my favourite publicist in the world, the incomparable Lisa Lugassy, tells AfterElton.com that starting in February, Nuke will be involved in a murder investigation/amateur detective plot that involves Casey, Ali, Reg, Matt and Kevin. Meanwhile, Damien, Luke’s biological father, will be back for the first time on March 24 for what The Suds Report has learned is a really bad storyline. “Fans won’t be happy — especially you, Nelson,” the insider says. Big surprise.

Purely speculation: Someone turns up dead, Noah seems to be the culprit, Damian comes to town, it turns out he's the real murderer, or at least he orchestrated it. Damian is arrested and is locked away (or escapes to a far away place). And then, in April...

• Fans should take those cancellation rumours The Suds Report brought to you last year seriously. It doesn’t look good, kids. “GL doesn’t have much longer to live unless a miracle happens,” maintains a source. For ATWT’s fate, read the Oakdale report above.

Ah, because you were the only one who thought GL was close to cancellation. Sure, Nelson. Sure.

Interestingly, welovesoaps.com and Eric Braeden’s (Victor, Y&R) No. 1 fan, Roger Newcomb, tells The Suds Report that after having a conversation with TeleNext publicity about the picture of Otalia kissing on soaptownusa.com, GL pulled the picture. Weird, considering the picture made it in Soap Opera Digest this week. Newcomb states, “I sent the picture to Telenext to ask them what’s going on. I’ve been promoting this duo so much and asked if there was something I could promote upcoming. An hour later, the picture was removed but no answer to my email yet.” That’s why Telenext PRs earn the big bucks.

Maybe they yanked it off because they already said that Natalia/Olivia wasn't happening!? It's so silly when people "promote" things before they even happen. It reminds me of the spring of 2007 when every proclaimed that this one couple would be a supercouple, months before they even met....hmm......

One Life to Live, A/ABC — Serenity Springs returns!

• OMFG: Speaking of jaw-dropping moments, I did a double take when I caught Cristian and Antonio working out at Serenity Springs. OLTL’s rep/cheerleader, Lauri Hogan, who could teach TeleNext a thing or two about publicity, tells The Suds Report to expect Serenity Springs to be around for a while. How many sets does this soap have anyway? I’m so proposing marriage to set impresario Roger Mooney. Luna Moody would no doubt be proud.

• Addie’s dream maker, Sean Ringgold (Shaun) appears as record producer Suge Knight in the soon-to-be released movie Notorious. Ringgold was spotted in a photograph in December pulling double duty as Katie Holmes' real-life bodyguard. Perhaps soap blocker Brian Frons should hire Ringgold.

• Holy crap! How shocked were you when it was revealed in a flashback that Marty spent the night with Wes? That guy playing Wes isn’t a bad actor, but I would have cast someone else in the increasingly high profile role. But since it’s clearly obvious he killed that Iraqi boy and framed Brody, I doubt he’ll be around for long.

• My darling Forbes March (ex-Nash) is busy auditioning for soap roles on both coasts, reports Digest. Tess’ true love was spotted on Y&R. Hmmm… In related story news, this week, Jessica admits she let out Tess on purpose so her alter could kill Natalie and Jared. Wowza. The Bess-Tess-Jess DID opus is fast surpassing Niki-Viki’s multiple-personality storyline, if you ask little ol’ moi. Kudos!

• Exec producer Frank Valentini is on a roll, soapers. This week, Plain White T’s appear on the best soap in daytime when Rex surprises Gigi by booking the group at Ultra Violet (too bad, Rex isn’t a Madonna fan).

• Newcomer alert: Melikes Evan Joiner (Asher) a lot, Llanview’s drug dealer. What a great character name. Hopefully, he sticks around. And speaking of getting high, Eddie Alderson is proving with his big storyline what I knew along — he’s a star. And so far, Scott Clifton (Schuyler) is impressing the thong off of me. Good thing, too, because GH fans will be furious if ABC squanders this casting coup.

• Turn to page 71 in this week’s Soap Opera Digest for a nostalgic picture of the barely unrecognizable Farah Fath (Gigi; ex-Mimi, DAYS) in a photo retrospective celebrating her past decade on daytime. Adorable, much?

Jesus Marie, Nelson, you oughta come up for air every now and then, yeah.

I don't think Braeden submitted his name, I think he's just happy with what MAB is giving him...to him the Emmys are bullsh*t (it helps that he's already got one)...I could see MTS not submitting either, she'll never win (due to her not being well liked outside of a circle of friends) so I think she figures what's the point...Jess Walton, for sure, did NOT submit her name, her attitude is that she's won twice and that others should have their shot.

Heinle's nomination is baffling. Adrienne Frantz might be too old to go Younger Actress which is why she went that way. Bryton can't act his way out of a paper bag, so I think that one's a joke.

Judith Chapman is either a dead lock to win or a dead lock to lose. I don't know how well she's liked in the business but she's been at it for a loooong time.
