But Marceline, why would any producer put out an ugly product? Its inexcusable!

I watch those commercials for GL and I want to CRY!

People say, "I watch for the stories, not for the sets."

And I say: "I don't. This is fantasy. I require pretty."

I need to go into production design or something.

I can't speak for GL- but when standards drop in design but the deadlines stay the same, there's not a big focus on quality. It just becomes poor work ethic. It's either you finish or you don't have anything. As a student- one is told not to make the deadline- because poor quality speaks volumes over a missed deadline- but as a professional working with other careless unprofessionals quality matters very little. It's a poor work ethic, but I imagine these poor saps make excuses for their work- no money, cancellation, no time...It's sad really. I sympathize.

• Say goodbye to Laurence Lau (Brian). Word is the actor has finished up his short stint as a closeted pedophile.

Noooo!!! I wanted a sick and twisted long term Brian/Luke/Noah triangle. Brian could be like Luke's Roger Thorpe type guy. Ok I'm reaching but i think u know what I mean.

Which married couple is about to announce they are divorcing — again?

Ari & Kyle.....my gaydar always went through the roof with him. And I got Grace Jones Gaydar. it's that accurate.

Right, and it wasnt Dena Higley who wasn't willing to pay up, it was Valentini and Frons. Valentini, the EP, not Valentini the only in name guy who sits behind a desk twirling a pencil. He makes decisions in his field. Casting. You proved my point. Frank then gave Ron the ok to kill Asa. There are jobs an EP does and jobs a writer does. Just because an EP has no say in writing and story, doesnt mean they are in name only, its rightfully so. They are EP's not Executive Writers. ;)

I can't figure out if this is a Valentini rant or a Valentini valentine. Are you trying to give this guy credit for OLTL's recent success or trying to pin any failures on him. If it's the latter -- we need to talk. LOL.

Well I found OLTL's episode on Friday very, very, very clumsy. I thought the whole show seemed off productionwise. Scriptwise and Camera wise- check out the Blair/John scenes. Maybe the Cameraman was drinking.

Sigh! You continue to mess with my head.

It's been reported that Easton brings Irish Whisky to tapings for love scenes. I. Don't. Know.

Rhino I am not trying to mess with your head!

I enjoyed Friday's show due to Blair and John(the combo) Addie, David, Marty, and Todd. I will never tire of seeing Tonja Walker either.

But the cameras were messed up in a few places (Blair and John) and the conversations between all of the actors seemed "off"- That is why I asked about this Katherine Lennon scriptwriter who wrote the show.. Dorian's and Alex's dialogue and I hate to say- Todd and Marty's scenes were way off to me.

But she at least gets comedy. Addie in that rap outfit was comic gold.

I am so happy that JHC is getting the AXE!!!!

I loved Cazotte while she was EP'ing for Night Shift. This makes me happy as a freaking lark!

Now, I have Read that I think it was Brian Frons Talking and He said that Julie Hanan Carruthers Is NOT Going Anywhere. He said that Lisa would help Julie Tweak the Storyline. The Tornado was Julie and Charles Pratt's First Big Storyline Together and The Ratings Went Up. That is Twice that I had Read that Julie was let go. A Couple of Years Ago or back Earlier anyway, Somebody said that Julie was going to Work on SoapNet. That Never Happened. I Knew that This was Too Good to be True. I and Maybe Everybody Else will have to Die Off before We Ever Get Rid of Brian Frons or Even Julie Carruthers. Jody

Since when should an EP have any say in story anyway? Nothing about "Executive Producer" screams anything about having any say in story. They never have and never will. If an EP of old was strong, it is because production was great, and the cast was cool and happy, not because said EP was such a visionary and had great input in story.

That simply isn't true. Rauch had a lot of final approval and say in Lemay's stories for AW in its glory days to use but one of MANY examples.

Don't forget GH's Gloria Monty, probably the most famous example of an EP who revolutionized an entire show. She was known to be heavily involved in the writers' meetings.
