Maybe it's  too early for this, but I need hope.  Does the Democratic Party have any good "prospects" for 2020? It would be poetic justice if it was a Hispanic who defeated Trump in 2020.  What about Michelle Obama? Would she ever consider running? Trump winning shows you don't need experience.

Both Michelle and Pres. Obama have flatly said that she will  not run for any office. and after watching what was done to her and her husband the past 8 years....I honestly don't blame her. What Dems need to do starting today is find good solid candidates for '18. then find a group of presidential candidates for '20....and get all of the old establishment OUT ASAP. they all need to go.

I'm hoping if he tries he's blocked. I rely on this medicaid for alot. I get treatment's every week for my bladder condition and the med's help keep the pain & whatnot under control.

I hope so too or that there is another program you will qualify for.

Probably SSI/disability but it's hard to get approved for it. Plus He'd probably cut funding for that too

I keep trying to tell people this but they aren't listening. Michelle was very adamant that she did not have the patience for what goes on in politics. Any who saw her roll her eyes at John Boehner at that dinner years ago, should understand this.

Liberals need to stop fantasizing and get realistic. The Republicans coalesced around their candidate, though he was a detestable choice (there is a date set for his rape trial next month, we'll see if that gets cancelled) while people allowed the media to obsess about HRC's e-mails.

If Hillary is messy, Trump is a rolling garbage fire. In the end, it came to this commonly used saying. "Democrats (need to) fall in love, Republicans fall in line. I really hope Democrats find that next candidate that liberals can fall in love with because clearly this is what it's gonna take to get that support.

Susan Sarandon is getting dragged.

I bet she is. I bet she is hearing things she never thought she would hear. but....these petty grievances cost the country so much.

After reading this, I hink Michael Moore is clairvoyant. He really nailed it.

Didn't he end up going back and forth on that? I think it sort of underscores what happens when these "voices of the people" worry too much about their own brands and not wanting to fall out of favor.

He sure did according to film critics, he made the case for electing Hillary in TrumpLand, which was released very close to Election time, when he talked about her beginning her career in public service helping children, primarily Black children in the South, working with Marian Wright Edelman. Hardly anyone saw the movie though, because it only opened in a few theaters spontaneously with no promotion.

DD, you hit the nail on the head. Democrats want the perfect candidate or they will either stay home or vote for someone else. 260,000 votes went to Johnson in Flo. He's the Ralph Nader of this election...he and Stein. Dems need to start looking NOW for a solid group of candidates who can destroy trump in 4 years...if he makes it that long.

I don't know, but that article I just posted was spot on.

I heard a bit about that but didn't know the contents. I wish it had come out earlier. I feel like there was an absurdly long period of time where the whole discussion of the election revolved around St. Bernie and how the elitist "Third Way" Democrats were going to ruin America, instead of any actual focus on how terrifying and dangerous Trump was. The response was usually, "Yes, but they're both bad!" and "You're taking away my free speech!" I wasn't surprised that these Bernie supporters popped up in droves last night gloating. They are utterly worthless, even as Bernie himself, who, you know, has actually done something in his life, realized the true stakes of this election many months ago.

Yeah I remember reading it this summer, I think. It did have some good points. So much so that Trump supporters were pushing it the last few weeks. I wonder if he regrets it now.

He was pro Hillary in the article I posted. He was just saying why the thought Trump would win, not why he should.

I don't know why he would regret it when he said some flat out awful things about Trump and said he was voting for Hillary, even though he had once sworn he wouldn't. I don't see anything in there that is even slightly pro Trump.

Speaking of Bernie, has he said or tweeted anything since the election results?

don't think so...neither has most of the republicans on Trump's new enemies' list.
