Members Khan
Of course he would feel that way. After all, they backed him up at his FIRST impeachment trial.
Members JaneAusten
Or he can't find a lawyer. Isn't Guliani going to be disbarred? Who's left? Lin Wood? Edited January 12, 2021 by JaneAusten
Members Khan
I know Jay Sekulow won't touch him, which could be saying something. Also, I've heard Alan Dershowitz's name floating about again. Of course, Dershowitz once got Claus von Bulow off the hook -- but, then again, Claus was a more sympathetic client. ;)
Members janea4old
New York State Bar Association plans to oust Rudy Giuliani from being a member of its organization. However group is a private professional association, therefore revoking Giuliani's membership does not mean he would lose his law license. In the State of New York, a law license is granted/removed by the court system. Separately, the chair of the New York State Senate judiciary committee, formally requested that Giuliani's law license be revoked, in a letter sent to the grievance committee with the First Judicial Department of the Appellate Division in the New York state Supreme Court, urging the grievance committee to disbar him. Removal from a voluntary state bar association, before disbarment by the courts, is extremely rare. However, in this, case the NY State Bar Association is considering moving forward anyhow. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/new-york-state-bar-association-moves-remove-rudy-giuliani-its-n1253722 Edited January 12, 2021 by janea4old
Members Khan
Wow, I know people who lived in NYC before 9/11 knew all along what kind of monster Rudy was; but to go from being the "hero mayor" of that tragedy to this.... Life is a funny thing, girl.

Members janea4old
Additional info via the Seattle Times: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/rep-pramila-jayapal-tests-positive-for-coronavirus-after-being-locked-down-with-lawmakers-who-wouldnt-wear-masks/ “Too many Republicans have refused to take this pandemic and virus seriously, and in doing so, they endanger everyone around them,” Jayapal said Monday night. “Only hours after President Trump incited a deadly assault on our Capitol, our country, and our democracy, many Republicans still refused to take the bare minimum COVID-19 precaution and simply wear a damn mask in a crowded room during a pandemic — creating a superspreader event on top of a domestic terrorist attack.” Jayapal, in a prepared statement, did not say if she was feeling ill or experiencing symptoms. She said she would continue to work “to the best of my ability” while in quarantine. Jayapal is the second Democratic member of Congress to test positive since the siege on the Capitol. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, D-N.J., announced a positive test earlier Monday. In a video posted shortly after the attack, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Del., can be seen trying to give masks to her colleagues while they’re locked down together during the siege. At least six Republican representatives can be seen in the video, posted by Punchbowl News, refusing the masks. “I am also calling for serious fines to be immediately levied on every single Member who refuses to wear a mask in the Capitol,” Jayapal said. “Additionally, any Member who refuses to wear a mask should be immediately removed from the floor by the Sergeant at Arms. This is not a joke. Our lives and our livelihoods are at risk, and anyone who refuses to wear a mask should be fully held accountable for endangering our lives because of their selfish idiocy.” Edited January 12, 2021 by janea4old
Members janea4old
The terrorists beat up a Metropolitan DC policeman: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/11/us/capitol-mob-violence-police.html They struck officers with hockey sticks, crutches and flags. They used flags on poles as weapons. Quote: They pulled the officer down the stairs, face down, another rioter beat him with an American flag as the mob chanted “USA! USA! USA!” End Quote. I can't wrap my mind around this: The terrorists beat a policeman with an American flag, while chanting USA! USA! USA! But then I can't wrap my mind around any of this.
