Members DRW50
If it's happening to anyone who is not a far right extremist then conservatives won't care and neither will the media.

Members DRW50
If anything all of this is likely to make them even more beholden, as they seem to have intractable ties with the GOP now. The amount of time they have spent in the last few years carrying water for literal Nazis is astonishing.
Members DramatistDreamer
CNN will certainly care, I would believe.
Members marceline
Nope. They will go right back to chasing clicks. Remember Jeff Zucker keeps a framed Trump tweet on his office wall. No matter how many bombs get sent to CNN, he's safe and I doubt he gives half a damn if some of his employees get killed.
Members DramatistDreamer
I will have to take your word on that but as someone who used to live, study and work in NYC and was there on September 11th, I think most people are underestimating the effect that the effect of something like that can have on your psyche. Perhaps CNN headquarters in Atlanta won't care, I'll give you that but I would think those people in the Time Warner building would care.
Members Vee
I also lived in NYC ten years. They will.
Members marceline
I hope you're right and I'll admit to feeling really depressed this morning so my thoughts are in a dark place but again, that comes back to the idea that they didn't care until personally affected. So much of the reason we're here is because too many people in and out of the media have lost the ability to care how their behavior and decisions affect people.
Members Vee
Now deleted from the NYT story but still relevant: That is absolutely correct.
Members Khan
Yep. I couldn't see it before, but I do now: a lot of the MSM worked their asses off to help Trump become president, because, IMO, eight years of a scandal-free (and, in their eyes, boring) Obama administration was more than they could handle. They NEEDED some good, gossipy [!@#$%^&*] to keep their audiences and readerships from deserting them. Enter Trump, the "star" and EP of a hit "reality" series, and the GOP, who were ready, willing and able to deliver the meat necessary to keep their hungry selves fed. Factor in the media's long-simmering hatred of the Clintons, a couple who's long been able to dodge whatever boulders they've lobbed at them, and you have part of the recipe for the shitstorm that is unfolding at the moment for them. Members Khan
If that's true, then maybe B**** K******** isn't such a waste of humanity after all.
Members DramatistDreamer
Speaking of people in positions of prominence not doing their jobs, I keep wondering when a serious and earnest discussion of voter suppression will take place.
Members Khan
It's not exciting enough. Now, if Brian Kemp were hopped up on meth and screwing a male prostitute as he tinkered personally with the voting machines....
