Collins is lucky because now with Jon Kyl I don't think they need her vote. Then again she is a phony, so she may vote for him anyway.

I'm glad that the Democrats are fighting, but it's disheartening to realize none of this matters - he will be confirmed and the public won't care. The best to hope for is that those on the left who love to stay home if they aren't being given their cookies every day might be pleased enough to show up in November.

Well, I've read the RS article...and maybe, once again, I'm reading too much into stuff...but it does seem awfully suspicious how Cornyn felt the need to take everyone to task after Harris and Booker.  Would Cornyn have responded the same way to two WHITE senators who chose to "cross-examine" Kavanaugh in the same fashion?

I'm seeing chatter on Twitter that by showing that Kavanaugh perjured himself in these hearings may be setting up ground to have him impeached later if we can swing the House. I don't know how true that is but I'm pretty sure that perjury counts as a high crime and misdemeanor.

The press seems thirsty for a presidential quality speech that is coherent and sincere. I'm sorry I missed this speech, I always look forward to these occasions and they are becoming fewer and far between.

I was just in the other thread reading @Juliajms's post and speaking of POS who perceive themselves to be "masters of the universe", I clicked on CBSNews' livestream to see the idiot-in-chief railing  with the chryon at the bottom of the screen quoting him as saying that he supposedly fell asleep during President Obama's speech.

You're the president of the god*damn United States of America and you're asleep in the middle of the f*ckin' day??

We all know he's lying but still, think about what he just said...

Reading what Obama said and then thinking about who the current occupant of the White House is is enough to make you cry with frustration. Talk about polar opposites.
