Meanwhile Medicare and Social Security are ticking away and we are focused on alienating anybody and everybody around us.

I can only imagine the number of homeless seniors we'll have in 10 years if these programs are gutted.  Add to that the loss of assets to the younger generation who can afford to support their parents. What a mess.

They're probably also scared of the money trains running out if Democrats regain any power. Any time I watch (not that often) I can feel how addicted they are to Trump and the GOP, even those who try to tsk-tsk and feign outrage.

It's hard to believe it took this many years. I know there were a few part Native American members of Congress but that isn't really enough.

Rodella sounds awful from everything I was reading last night. Her husband was in hot water, and she was involved in all kinds of decisions like blocking gay marriage bills, she was in big with the corporations, etc.

They don't even know what they want, other than to look like big men.

I guess you saw that moron who will likely be the next Speaker (McCarthy) blindly defending Trump's tariffs.

I don't think most voters are going to blame Trump or the GOP, sadly, but I did read that the Democratic vote was up heavily in Iowa yesterday, one of the places hardest hit by the trade war.

I read that McCarthy's district is on a list of some GOP areas targeted to be flogged by tariffs.  Let's see how that affects his political fortunes.

McCarthy's district is the safest Republican seat in California, but his next door neighbor Republican David Valadao could take a big hit from tariffs because he is in a seat that voted for Clinton. The Central Valley is full of almonds and those would be hit hard by tariffs.

I posted that at the top of the page - I will be surprised if it hasn't already. He is such an idiot and a liability.

Oops this page has become so monster that my eyes are liable to glaze over when I see links by themselves.

I am still mostly indifferent about the entire C-gate situation (though I already stated that I have never used the word and don't like it) because I assert that both these women are as far from marginalized as one can get and both can surely take care of themselves but I came across this on social media and thought it was interesting and I know there was strong debate about this situation in this thread, so perhaps others may find this interesting too.

^ Yes. Those first couple of sentences tells me she gets it.  I never thought she deserved to lose her show over this, so I hope this can be the end of it.  I also think that people have to stop looking to Ivanka as a savior. The last couple of months should make people understand that she is nothing of the kind.
