I have learned that his supporters don’t care what he does and follow him blindly. However, Trump does seem to be worried about this Epstein scandal. Let’s see what happens but I won’t be surprised if nothing comes of it.

The fixation on the Epstein files is absolutely ridiculous to me. These people put a rapist in the White House. Just today Jim Jordan is finally being deposed in the Ohio State sex abuse scandal. They've shown sexual predation doesn't matter to them. This seems to be what everyone wants to talk about but I couldn't care less.

They will fixate on any news story that distracts from the death and destruction they are wreaking.

Frankly, I'm more upset about the news that CBS has cancelled "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" due to what they're calling "financial reasons."  (Come on, CBS, who do you think you're fooling, lol?)

The late night hosts themselves have been saying that late night is going to retract for a good 5 years now. CBS already cancelled the 1230 slot that hasn't been political for years. It makes sense that CBS and its affiliates would rather air (I assume) a second 1/2 hour of local news at 1130.

Cancelling the Daily Show, which has seen a big ratings increase, and is way more popular on digital, would raise WAY more flags IMO.

The dictatorship is officially the norm. These are only symptoms. It's slowly turning into Russia. It's quite clear... "financial reasons" is a complete BS-excuse. WE KNOW.

I get the idea - the "gotcha" of seeing Trump stumble and his cult stumble over the lies and conspiracies they've been peddling for a decade or more. The problem is there is never going to be a moment of defeat or humiliation for them - Trump will get away with it, and the cult will always go along. This is also likely down to Democrats in Congress listening to the idea that the public wants nonstop trolling and melodrama, which I doubt ever does much to help Democrats. The same public just voted for concentration camps anyway and would likely do so all over again.

Comedy Central is such a wasteland, and only got hype due to the election, so I think it would have made sense.

The timing with Colbert's cancelation is what makes this blatant. The same as the overhaul at 60 Minutes. They are terrified. I know they were going to gut late night anyway, because it's cheaper to just have Sinclair propaganda alongside sports and "reality" shows, but they wanted to send a message to Trump, and they have.

Stewart has always been a narcissist, suffocating in his ivory tower, and loves the fantasy that Republicans are fun and wild while Democrats are the ones truly deserving of scorn. He was more upset over Biden's pardons and people calling Trump a fascist than he has ever been over anything Trump has done. I especially hate that "Who? Lil ol' me?" face he does and the Comedy Shouting And Cursing. He is in his sixties and still thinks he's 20 years old.
