I think it's sad that Dr. Joplin did the unthinkable, I really didn't want to see her go. Plus, if they'd eventually introduced her no good son, there could have been some interesting stuff there. Maybe he WILL show up down the road and try to snuff out Todd.

Are they trying to get BW an Emmy with these personality quick changes? They have all the finesse of a bull in a china shop.

EricMontreal, I'm with you 100%, the glasses thing is KILLING me! I want to see her scramble when she can't find any, then she'll make circles with her thumbs and pointer fingers and hold them up to her face.

I just think his resistance is over the top. Shane and Rex were good buddies before Brody came back. Regardless of what stories Shane had been told about his "father", he loved Rex and even wanted Rex and Gigi together before Brody returned. I understand that then he bonded with Brody, but it's like he forgot how much he loved Rex completely.

But Shane believed Brody was his dad his whole life. And when Brody returned, it was like a dream come true. I understand why Shane is conflicted, but as I said before, it's strange that he completely erased his memories about the time before Brody came back, when he loved Rex, hated Adrianna, and wanted Rex and Gigi to get together.

It was so funny the other day when she told Dorian she can't remember what she ever saw in him. Sorry, I just find that heavy handed writing, considering we all saw their story. It's one thing for her to admit she finally realizes that he's never going to change, but to pretend she never saw the good in him that genuinely exists, is just silly IMO. Not that there's a balance there. Far more bad than good.

Or John, or Bo. Is Talia there? She's usually pretty good at that stuff. They've needed a female cop for awhile now.

Ahhhhh! True. I'd forgotten that much of what happened during the writers strike . . . never really happened. I sometimes wonder what the offliners must have thought about that. Think of all the people who watch the show who may have not even known there was a writers strike. I watched for years, and I never knew who the executive producer was or who was writing the show. I don't think I was alone.

I would also add Nash’s funeral in there too, and for a lighter yet daring episode, how the one where David explains to the audience how he got from Paris to Hollywood. That was an awesome episode, and it also involved a location shoot if I’m correct with Antonio and Talia.

What I’ve come to realize about RC that, with the exception of writer strikes, everything that happens is bound to affect the story somehow someway down the line, even Janet. Why would RC bring her on if she wasn’t? I just hope for a Viki/Janet confrontation.

As for Dallas, wasn’t she brought on by Tomlin? RC seemed to just inherit her, and he seemed to try and make her useful but in the end couldn’t and who can blame him.

Thursday’s show was a treat. Lots of inside jokes and humor used in the episode with Foxy Roxy’s.

Gah and how hot were Tess and Brody? I’m really liking this unique story where two characters eventually fall in love while in the asylum lol.

    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
