Not only Jade is coming back to Oakdale with a new face. Soaps.com is reporting that Maddie Coleman, Lucy Montgomery and Jennifer's son Johnny are coming back to As the World Turns next month.

Kelly Barret has been cast as Maddie (previously played by Alexandra Chando from 2005 until 2007). Maddie left Oakdale last year to go to college. Her first episode is set for December 22.

Sarah Glendening has been cast as Lucy Montgomery (last played by Spencer Grammer in 2006). She's bringing her little brother Johnny, played by Bailey Harkins, with her. Their first airdate is set for December 24.

Ugh, I could care less about Lucy and Johnny. They are NOT needed in Oakdale. Why is Maddie being recast?? I am assuming it's for a triangle between Maddie/Casey/Allison???

Wow. This show definitely sets a record for most recasts at a time. Taking into account all of the current cast members who were not the first to play their characters as adults (or young adults, in the case of Luke, Casey, and Alison), I"ve come up with 12. Adding in Jade, Maddie, and Lucy, that's 15. Nearly half of the cast are recasts.

I don't give a rat's patootie about any of those characters

Why put the character back on canvas if they cannot get the original actor!

Alexandra Chando is actually doing good. She just landed a major part in an online show. So she's doing pretty good.

Don't see the need for Maddie, though.

Lucy & Johnny....maybe a brief appearance....just to say they're OK and then leave again.

She looks more like Claire Coffee/Nadine from GH than Peyton List or Spencer Graham.

Well, you knew it was only a matter of time until Lucy and Johnny would surface. Maddie's reappearance is a big WTF? They hardly used her the last time around, unless Gwen needed someone's shoulder to cry on. There's exactly one guy in her age range and straight...so what is she going to do, hang with Henry on his one monthly appearance? 'Tho if it means Liberty is getting shipped out of town, I'm all for it.
