This just in from the desk of Nelson Branco. He has confirmed that The Young and the Restless

has recast the role of Eden with Gilmore Girls alumn Vanessa Marano.

This follows the news Branco broke this morning that Y&R had fired Erin Sanders.

Not needed. Y&R gave her a try-out and, while she was getting somewhat better, Y&R made a decision to end it swiftly. Take note, ABC.

However, I hope they keep Kevin Schmidt if they can. He is a find as Noah.

I only liked her when she was around Noah. But I don't care if she's gone. Anyone connected to Michael Baldwin can just disappear and I wouldn't blink.

But I agree with Cat. They have to keep Kevin Schmidt! He's awesome as Noah!

Are they recasting?

Woohoo. She had toned it down but Judgemental personalities like myself never like someone who comes into our lives shreiking, grumpy and just plain miserable. I don't watch soaps to be annoyed and luckily Y&R has seen the light.

If they recast, it better be someone good. St. Cyr has been doing okay since she arrived.

I have to agree with Manny, here......I didn't mind her so much in scenes with Noah, but that was pretty much it.

Speaking of Noah, since they have been toying with paring those two characters I can't help but think they may re-cast the role. Unless they have decided to scrap the pairing and wait to see what happens with KS and his new series on TBS (if, it gets picked up.).

If they recast, it better be someone good.

Y&R needs someone to overact as much as Christian LeBlanc and Judith Chapman do. Apparently, Erin doesn't eat as much scenery as required.
