Zach Slater is a dick.

I'm not a big David fan so I didn't care about his return but I have to admit that I find him riveting in spite of myself. Welcome back VI!

I know that the focus is on the sextet, dead!Babe and the Bianca baby so the Hubbards are one of the "B" stories right now. But I'm really looking forward to their story. I hope they get the same level of time and energy as other "A" stories when the time comes.

Kudos to the behind-the-scenes people. Episodes like this really highlight their talent. The people behind the stage direction, set design, editing and stuntwork deserve credit and acknowledgment. And I know some people were unimpressed with the SFX but I could easily point to primetime shows that had FX of the same quality. Judge that however you will.

Did I mention that Zach Slater is a dick?

I am a Zen fan, but not a hardcore one. I really despise when fan bases play that game. No couple's fan base should have that much power. In fact if anything, I am more annoyed with Zach. I don't doubt his love for Kendall, but I think what he has done with Bianca is betrayal. I really loved the talk in the stairway between Jake & Taylor. It's not like he didn't regret what happened. I think coming from Africa, he most likely didn't have those rules.

I agree! I thought it was a great week. I loved all the different storylines going on. Way to use most of the cast.

That she was hot. :)

I just kept shaking my head whenever Zach went all "I'm going to sue this hospital" and went after Jake. I don't like this beat of the story. Like you, I hope it doesn't lead to something more. <_<

I thought it was a good episode, but not quite as good as Thursday's.

Zach is a total prick!

Once again, I loved the Angie/Jesse/Frankie scenes.

It was so great to have David back in action! I can't wait for him to start his next revenge scheme.

I liked the Bianca/Greenlee scenes. These past few days, Greenlee has been much less smug and more human. I can actually watch her when she's written this way.

I'm glad Bianca didn't have a final scene with Babe.

I'm intrigued by the note left for Ryan & Annie.

I loved the cliffhanger of Zach throwing Taylor down the stairs!

Alexa was amazing through out most of her tenure at AMC. I think the sad thing about AMC now is that it has bled out so much of it's young talent in such a short period of time. I remember once upon a time AMC had such a strong set of younger actors most of which were female leads such as Eden, Alexa, Levenn, Tanisha, Kelli, Elizabeth and others I can't remember but now. None of the younger leading actors now can fill that void. There is a very real lack of talent in the younger set and it shows. The cast lacks a lot of young talented players and it shows.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
