If his passing was due to some lingering illness, it's possible she took time off from B&B for that. Even though she's not front-burner, you'd think you'd see some appearance once it came out that Katie was carrying Nick's child, but there wasn't even any of that. And it doesn't look like she's going anywhere anytime soon. The articles about her directing that GL episode all said that she was still front-burner on B&B and it's about time. On her website there is a photo of the two of them and it appears that, even at Christmas, he was not well and appears to be in a wheelchair. I commend LAD for taking the time to be a part of the process of care giving for a parent, nobody understand the toll it takes unless they've been there themselves.
