A kind soul posted a portion of the Winter Austen trial and Draper being hauled to jail almost a year later.

So crazy how he went from defending Winter a year earlier to being accused of murdering Margo [and being found guilty].

*sighs*

This makes me wish someone would buy up the entire P&G library and post them all online. I hate how all these videos are sitting in some storage area just collecting dust.

Haha, that's me. Someone who was apparently taken off Youtube sometime last year (I think) put up some EON fragments and episodes, mostly from 1979 (their 1975 material is already available on other channels). They also put up a ton of Dark Shadows, which may have been why they were taken off.

Since I've started uploading and since there seems to be a lot of EON activity on Youtube lately, I decided to reupload what they had. If that uploader contacts me and asks me to take it down, I will.

It takes forever but I'm trying to upload the next 1979 episode.

BTW, the full and good quality version of Draper being sent away can be found at eonschuylerwhitney's channel. I guess this version was from an original recording back in 1980.

Oh that's your channel?! :lol::P

Makes sense with all the Emmerdale episodes you've been posting and I've been watching (which I am still reeling from this Chris/Kelly pregnancy arc).

Thanks!

I'll go and look up Draper's arrest/the train crash. I've seen it before way back when on WOST (oh how I miss that site) but I wanted to see it again.

I'm so glad to know someone is watching the ED stuff (beyond that one person who keeps asking for April 11, 1996). I enjoy that material but I wasn't sure if anyone else did. I haven't posted the next because I don't have all of the March 1998 episodes and I'm trying to look through my stuff to see if I misplaced anything. If I haven't then I'll just post what I have of March and the rest of 1998.

The July 1979 episodes start here.

There are 5 July 1979 episodes here (the channel above has the first episodes of July 1979 that are available/were put on the AOL thing 7-8 years ago or whenever. They are missing a few, and this channel has those)..

It gets a bit tiring, but I really enjoy Terry Davis' work in the role.

By the way, Monika, some of these have some Ann Williams scenes, if you want to see those. I notice she looks a bit more glam in some of these.

(I still wish they'd kept Margo around a bit longer...)

I like Terry Davis too but April is grating at times. She reminds of Fluff (aka Katie) on ATWT. Constantly nagging and always self-righteous. I wanna care for her. I'm supposed to care for her but I don't at time.

Of what little I've seen of Margo too, I wish they would've kept her around. Poor Ann Williams. She never caught a break. Whether it was Eunice or Margo, her characters were always killed too soon.

I know that it had to be a joy for Stephanie Braxton to go from playing saccharine Tara on AMC to crazy Winter on EON. I always enjoy watching the studio chase between Nicole and Winter. I also found it saddening to watch Winter die w/o hearing Logan say he loves her. IMO, it wouldn't've killed him to utter those words even though he might not've meant them. :P

Wasn't Winter's whole dissent into the madness over her trying to cover up her past in porn for Logan's sake? Nowadays, she would've probably rejoiced over her porn past and tried to make a living out of it [a la Kim Kardashian].

I just find EON endearing and I've been binge watching it a lot lately. I feel like the show would really be hot nowadays now that procedurals and mysteries are ratings catchers. Had P&G and ABC stuck by the show a few more years, it would've so paid off.

SN: I found this custom intro that a fan made based on it the show was still on air. I thought it was phenomenal and wanted to share it.

    • A little too much focus on Chad and Cat today but I enjoyed the episode. I have a feeling that Jennifer’s gonna get dumped on though, even though I think that her anger is completely understandable and justified. And honestly, Ron is finally gone; Abigail can come back now.  But, welcome back, Anna! It was nice seeing Carrie have scenes with her mother. Christie Clark and Leann Hunley have never really had that many scenes together and to see them have them now is really nice. I’m glad that both of them were there to comfort Marlena too. Their words were definitely the thing that Marlena needed to hear. Btw, with all this talk of Noah, does it mean that he’s gonna be introduced soon? Amy, revealing that John changed her flat tire many years ago seemed a little random though. I would rather she have said something about how everybody in Salem knows of John Black because of how he was always such a hero. But at the same time, her story also showed what a great guy John was.  I liked Kate’s scenes with Philip too, and her promise to get back at Xander for what he did. And since we didn’t see JPL in the bed, did he need some time off or something? And yeah, everything involving ‘One Stormy Night’ still seems very Ron-like to me.
    • The second photo featuring the late John Spencer is from the Law & Order episode, "Prescription For Death", which was the (second) pilot/first episode all the way back in 1990! He played the father of a daughter that had gone to the ER for a mere sore throat but ended up dead because the doctor on call was drunk and had given her medication that she had an adverse reaction to, after receiving some other medication. So, he will always have that great distinction in addition to The West Wing. (The first pilot, "Everybody's Favorite Bagman", was filmed in 1988! The show was offered to CBS, but they passed. In syndication, it is oddly placed as the sixth episode of Season 1. And Roy Thinnes played DA Alfred Wentworth there. When NBC picked up the show two years later, Thinnes declined to return, and that's how we got Steven Hill's DA Adam Schiff.)
    • exactly. I can understand schadenfreude if it were real, but a lot of this is just an engineered distraction.
    • Days of our Lives S60E204 – Thursday, June 5, 2025 Okay, today’s episode was kind of boring. It was nice seeing Jack and Jen back, but they wasted an entire episode on Jen chatting with Julie - one scene would’ve been enough. Also, why didn’t Jack and Jen go comfort Marlena? And wouldn’t a flashback with Jack, Jen, and John have been great? Maybe something from the Cruise of Deception era? Bottom line - it feels like once John’s memorial is over and the returning fan favorites leave Salem… the show’s going to be dull again.
    • Everything with Elon and Trump is a stunt. If people, and the sycophantic press, are talking about their "feud," they are not talking about Republican plans to gut Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA.
    • I can't fully remember, but I don't think they tried to get Beth Chamberlin back. I think Laibson/McTavish likely saw Beth as old news and wanted to move Philip on; either that or have her return only when Philip was closely tied to a new woman. Thanks as always for these recaps. I think I had stopped watching around this time and mostly kept up by reading in the soap magazines. Bridget's degradation was horrible to watch, as the character had grown so much over the years and was clearly regressed just to be a foil for a "hot" couple viewers had zero investment in.
    • Having the majority of the cast on those low numbers is no way to tell story. And just 2 dayplayers for the month. So sad for the #1 soap.
    • I believe it was. And this is actually one of the cases where I wouldn’t mind some dumb soap opera bringing back from the dead. They gave Mishael, Amanda, with all of Hilary’s connections but none of the personality except for fleeting moments. Hilary absolutely should’ve just left town. They decided to kill her and the baby. Just baffling,
    • That was Mal Young right? He thought a tragic death was a better option than crafting a story where Hilary leaves town. Was it a case of punishing someone who wants to leave? And then they have to jump through hoops to bring the actress back.
    • Ooo @TaoboiI will say I just watched Amanda give it to Abby and I loved it. Honestly just made me miss Hilary more. I will never understand or get over that decision to kill her off. Also call me crazy but I could definitely see the Damian actor playing NuTed on BTG. Very much still enjoying the Lily attraction.
