I actually much prefer this thread to the Jossip thread. You've confirmed that SON has the wittiest, cleverest, most articulate posters on the internet and they don't have to hide behind anonymity. I hate it whenever people "OMFG", because, IMO, that's just as damning as using the "g.d. word" - and no, we are not right in doing this, and we need to stop. All of us. (Again, myself included.)

But what you posted in response to Cat? IMO, it mocked God, it mocked the Catholic church, it mocked the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and it mocked the priests and their privilege to offer that to transgressors (despite the fact that you made a good point before). I might play with a lot of things...but I don't play with something as sacred and personal (to me) as religion. Yes, Cat left that door wide open, so to speak, when she made the comment(s) that she did; however, a truly sensitive person just wouldn't have gone there.

LMAO! No matter how heated things get or what angry words get exchanged it never fails! As soon as I post in a thread somebody asks me about Fluffy!

For the record, Fluffy isn't mine. I don't even have a dog. I am a doting pet parent but not to Fluffy. I was on LiveJournal and saw this icon. Like so many others, I fell in love and saved it. I wish I could tell you who created it and who Fluffy belongs to but I lost all that info when my previous laptop gave up the ghost. Everytime I think of changing out my avatar I realize that there would be people who would kick my ass. I could die tomorrow but Fluffy must remain.
