Funny scenes from today's ep:

Blair: "Does she know that you're a convicted rapist?"

Todd: "Did John tell you that you're nothing but a stand in for Marty Seabrooke?"

--------------------------

Hippy: "Are you straight, man?"

Rex: "EXCUSE ME?"

Hippy: "Are you straaaaaight......"

Rex: "Uhhhh.....yeah!!! He and I went to this bar this one time...."

Bo: "Ahhh...that's not what he means, Balsom."

Ohh...I wonder who the mysterious person is, the one who helped Antonio. Hmm......

Yeah, I didn't like the cell phone part. The story still has to be a little believable for my to "buy it," you know?

Man, I do believe this is going to be a LONG few months of Tess, because I'm already tired of the witch. Guess my FF button will get a work out because I'm not to keen on watching her, that's for sure.

I really hope that even though Viki is saying goodbye to Charlie, she does let him know that when she comes back she is willing to give their relationship another chance, I really don't want him to feel dejected.

Felt really bad for Carlotta and it just makes me wonder exactly where they are going with this, is this the end of the diner? Carlotta? The Vega's?

Carlo and Tina are the ONLY reason I'm interested in this Mendorra storyline. I really liked Jonas in the beginning but now he's not shining for me anymore.

Wednesday was a good episode for me.

I finally got me some 1968 but I was not so groovy with all the 70's talk and MOE. OMG he looked horrible but it was laughable which I think was the whole point. I loved whoever that was that slapped Bo because he has no idea who and why she did it!!

I also loved John punching Todd!! TSJ's reaction to the punch was very realistic I had to keep rewinding it and laughed everytime.

I really wish Gigi would let down her wall and invite Brody in. At the same time I already see Brody trying to turn Gigi against Rex. Brody has a point though, Rex didn't say a word and left Gigi. Who is to say he would have stayed if he knew she was pregnant? Rex was an ass and a player when he first arrived, Gigi does not know his past. We know Gigi loved Rex but did Rex ever love Gigi? So many questions!

I was surprised Antonio was stabbed! Who took the knife out? Doesn't the cloaked person know you are not supposed to do that??!LOL

I think that was Christian in the cloak. I know the Mendorra story is campy but I love soap adventure stories and this one is just right. I love that it's turning Talia into a real leading lady. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think this was a great way for Tina to return. Once she comes back to Llanview and begins interacting with other characters it's going to be even better.

This Marty story is making Todd look so pathetic.

I'd sooner believe an "Okie from Muskogee" backwater like Paris, Texas had cell towers than a cadre of Haight-Ashbury hippies in 1968. Or that the starving and destitute in Africa care about some rich socialite from the States coming to lecture them about organ transplants.

I immediately thought it was Christian too. It has to be. He was covered up, as if he were trying to hide from the guards.

<Ahem>

AND CAN FRIGGIN TESS DO US ALL A FAVOR AND KILL NATALIE AND ESPECIALLY JARED ALREADY!!! THOSE TWO NEED TO BURN IN HELL!!!!! FIRE AND BRIMSTONE ON THEIR ASSES!!!

I totally stepped and squashed on your couple, rhinohide. Sorry.

I'm just not over what they did to the Buchanans and how neither paid for it. WTF is that about?? and Natalie blackmailing her dad for a dude that she doesn't even really know who blackmailed her sister and her husband in the first place? NO MORE OF THOSE TWO, PLEASE!!

Agreed on Bree's performance.

Spent Sunday afternoon catching up on the OLTL I've missed since I briefly switched over to ATWT-- back in the good ol' days-- (LOVED LOVED LOVED Dorian leading Vicki into the secret room in '84 at Llandfair when she turns into Nicki, briefly). Anyway, Erin was so much more subtle, so much more fleshy than Bree is, even as the ho-hum Jessica. The scene when she leaves the show, weeping at the airport with Vicki: although it isn't comparable to Nash dying at all, and the reasoning behind her leaving was definitely more contrived, it was a lot more emotional. Erin really brings more to the table than Bree does, who's more obvious with her choices.

There were other scenes, like when Jessica finds out that Natalie is her twin and Erin's all trying to be bitchy and whatnot, and her acting is subpar. But, then again, she wasn't supposed to stand out in those scenes anyway, as they belonged to Natalie and Vicki. On the other hand, when she finds out she's Mitch Laurence's daughter, that was yet another great exhibition of her talents. Subtle, but very real.

Anyway, I would've loved to have seen what Erin would've done with Tess. I guess we'll never know.

    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.  She is trolling this thread.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
