Forgot to mention yesterday how much I loved the David/Dorian/Addie scenes. Will Addie now help Clint to get back at Dorian? Interesting.

Tuesday was another okay episode.

I was happy the 1968 s/l was back and I like JPL but he was too OTT for me today. I was confused for a while about Olympia but thought the conversation between Chuck/Bo/Rex explained some of the history there. Chucks comment and reaction to the cell phone was funny.

The only part about John/Blair's convo I cared for was when Todd overheard Blair say she and John were together last night.

I am enjoying the Todd/Marty storyline now because I can tell Todd feels bad for what the did to Marty and him talking to her about the entire situation is freeing his conscience. At the same time when Marty finds Tied lied she is going to kick his ASS and then some!lol

It was sad that Carlotta's diner burned down. Now where will everyone go hangout or eat? Will Charlie help build it and that is what Brody/Charlie will get a job doing? Will Gigi swallow her pride and take Dorian's offer that is still on the table?

Brody asking Gigi out was cute, so now their first date is looking for a job? Romantic. :P

IMO, Carlo is the best part of the Mendorra s/l and other than that it is blah and the Vegas need to get home to be there for their mommy.

That sounds like a fun thread.

Favorite Soap Villains and what they'd say to one another over a cup of coffee. LOL.

I can see it now. Stefano Dimera and Mitch Lawrence run into each other at Starbucks and share stories about people they've held captive in secret rooms and where their evil plans went wrong.

I am not one to comment on people's physical appearances (unless we're dishing cosmetic surgery), but two things that stood out to me within the first few minutes of today's ep: 1) I think Antonio could stand to gain a few pounds, and 2) wow, Brody is like a foot shorter than Chahlee. Is Brody really short or is Chahlee really tall?

    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
