Monday and Thursday highest for ATWT...with Thursday having the highest Total Viewers....Here is Monday's show

Recruiter Sergeant Davis tells Noah that he'll be in basic training as of tomorrow. Luke forces his way into Noah's room but is caught and almost gets Noah kicked out before he's signed the loyalty oath. Luke announces that he loves him but Noah won't change his mind and leaves with the two soldiers. But when the recruiter asks if he has anything he hasn't revealed, Noah admits he's gay. Sgt. Wilkins claims that "he didn't hear that" and explains that his statement may cost him his enlistment. Later, Luke's relieved when Noah returns and admits that he couldn't do it. Holden meets Mike's boss Neal when he stops by the farm. Carly and Holden are embarrassed to run into each other there as Neal takes an interest in her. Carly resents it when Neal approaches her at Metro and admits he knows she's single because Holden told him. She runs to Holden and blasts him for "pimping her out." Holden defends what he did so Carly calls Neal in front of him and confirms that she is single. When Liberty arrives at the tennis court, Parker greets her with a kiss. Realizing Jack and Janet never showed up to bring them to the court, Liberty guesses that they slept together. Meanwhile, Jack's astounded to wake up and realize he had sex with Janet. He tells her that he'd like to keep their night together "between them." They both approach their kids at the tennis court and while Jack lies about "working undercover" earlier, Janet confirms Liberty's guess. Though Janet asks her not to say anything, the teen quickly stuns Parker with the news that their parents did sleep together. Shocked, Parker walks away. Jack tells Janet that he expects their one-night stand to be just that, for one night. He forces her to confirm that this relationship has no strings but then she takes him back to bed.

Thursday was of course the big Casey and Emily reveal..plus Sofie's murder

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Emily panics when Margo points her gun at her and states that she can kill her right now and claim she simply fired at an intruder. She blasts Emily for sleeping with Tom and putting her filthy hands on her son now. Emily pleads with her to drop the gun. Casey panics to find his mother ready to shoot. Tom interrupts and grabs the weapon. He angrily demands answers from them but Margo screams at Emily to get out. Casey threatens to leave too so Margo calls her a "whore" and as Tom stares in disbelief, a grinning Margo asks Casey if he knows that Emily charged $1,000 a night during her stint as a call girl. Crying, Emily confirms it as Margo realizes that Casey knew this. Tom orders Emily to get out and stay away from his sons, vowing to keep her away from Daniel. Casey walks out and says he'll never be back. Tom blasts Margo for not telling him as she claims Casey will be back because Emily can't hold on to any man. Emily confesses all to Susan who chastises her for getting involved with a younger man. Casey arrives but Susan and Emily both order him to stay out of her life. A frantic Mike tells Jack that he thinks Sofie was murdered. Jack asks for proof so Mike shows him the piece of jewelry he found at Fairwinds. Jack insists that's not enough proof to get a search warrant but he accompanies Mike to Fairwinds where they interrupt Meg and Paul. Jack asks where Sofie is but Paul calls her a liar and suggests that Mike is jealous because they got married early today. Jack questions why they got married so quickly without her family present. He asks to take a look at the garden but Paul tells him to get a search warrant. Meg runs to Barbara and tells her everything, admitting their concern about protecting her. Shocked, Barbara denies killing Sofie. Meanwhile, Jack and Mike return to Fairwinds and catch Paul with a lifeless Sofie in his car's trunk. Meg and Barbara watch as Jack arrests Paul

Truer words have never been spoken...

Let's not even mention the Paul/Meg/Sophie/Mike/Barbara stuff on Thursday which is supposedly NOT what viewers want to see. But then again I suppose people will say that Babs, Tom, and Margo were enough to bring in viewers.

Yet Tom and Margo strangely didn't bring in alot of viewers during their 40 anniversary celebration a week or so ago right?

In the loving arms of his wife, Dr. Marlena Evans, John took his last breath at the end of the June 2 episode, after suffering devastating internal injuries during a lab explosion. The iconic character went out as he lived — a hero. Sensing the fans’ devastation on Monday, Marlena’s portrayer Deidre Hall posted this simple-but-powerful message to fans on Instagram: “I know. I know. Hardest day ever.”

    • Now coming into June...well...   I knew it was coming but I didn't like the start to the next round of Dani/Bill/Hayley. As the 3 A plots from the start of the show (The SilkPress storyline and Martin's Secret being the other two), it needed to be benched for a while to develop those characters and allow other characters and storylines to grow. 3 months in, Hayley is the weak link, Dani is still divisive, but not boring, and Bill has been making his mark with some plots faster than others. So last week seeing the story starting to loop back around to them with Hayley's potential pregnancy, I honestly had mixed feelings.   I get it. The SilkPress storyline is currently in aftermath/next turn mode, so it has to be moved into a C plot position. Moreso if we want to keep the very talented Miss Trish around. And I love how clever the writers are being with the storyline. They give us enough in the episodes and are still playing out beats to keep the appetite fed. I don't feel like anyone is being dumbed down to keep her around. And Trish is giving nuances in her alone scenes with NuTed. I shouldn't care for a clear psycho, but she be selling it. That said...I wish they had given us a little more of the Martin's Secret storyline in the last week of the month though I loved the game of cat and mouse Bill did on Martin and Smitty to keep the storyline alive and active after it had a nice build beginning of May and vanished for a week mid-May. And it appears like it's about to go back to the backburner as an A plot which of course leaves the A plot of Dani/Bill/Hayley.   I am probably in the minority as someone who is not anti-Dani here and even she annoyed the heck out of me last week. In character true, but I just felt like there was a way to get all of that across without it feeling like...as I've said before...one step forward, two steps back...and have it feel organic. I liked Hayley got a little bit of edge with her, but she still ain't no match for Dani. And it reminds to be seen if we should be going back to that well of a story yet.   Now about today's show...   And I thought Tracy was bad! lol. But YES. Sharon has been worth the wait. And so has Anita's story! Finally having TT in the limelight. This has been a nice slow burn for me and a nice B plot. And the actress is good. The wig is giving. And her holding what Anita's secret is over her head and threatening to tell Vernon....Ooooo...that is what I was waiting for.    And speaking of bad...I thought Eva vs Kat was a great rivalry. But I am loving the rivalry that is growing with 'Nancy Drew' and Silk Press Sheila! They both get good licks in and are so cunning with each other. And I definitely have liked that since the anniversary party, that it has been growing. Now that Kat has been proven right, she has not backed down. And neither has SilkPress. And we got a 'Ms. B@tch' moment, too? LOVE. Eva coming up with a trump card was delicious and so 90s Sami Brady. GOOD. And the coda with Jacob and the expert...YES. The Silk Press storyline has been the best paced on the show so I love that the aftermath of the anniversary party continues to be so...barring one flaw...well for me. Not enough Nicole's POV.   And I like the C plots on display. And by that, I mean Chelsea with Vernon. And it made me wonder what the writers have plan for her love life now that the throuple is over with. I was watching her and going awww.   And of course the mystery man around Martin. I am starting to wonder if he really even works at the country club given how he made a run for it. That would be a twist.    Speaking of Martin...good to see him in scenes with his father and mother.    I'm getting used to NuTed.    I felt the last episode of May was a bit of a letdown, but this was a very nice recovery.
    • Unless they cut him, I'd think he would stay. Surely, he didn't choose to return because he expected high quality. I figure he gets to work when he wants and spend a lot of time doing his own thing and being with his family.
    • The writing for Liz and Lucky is indeed terrible, but if JJ signed a one-year contract he may be gone in a couple of months anyway. Perhaps they’re just cutting their losses.
    • That would be his older sister Stacey. She was the center of a big story back in the day. Nola was out to snag medical student Kelly Nelson, who she thought would provide her with the life she craved. He was in love with a girl named Morgan. Nola plotted to get pregnant by him, but couldn't manage to get him in bed. So she seduced Floyd, who thought she was in love with him. When she knew she was pregnant, she got Kelly drunk and made sure he woke up next to her in bed. Kelly believed her when she told him he made her pregnant. They were about to elope to Las Vegas, but her mother ratted her out and Kelly abandoned her. She almost married Floyd, but jilted him at the altar. She went to work for Quint. When the baby came prematurely, Kelly saved both of them. She named the baby Kelly Louise to irk Morgan, who was now married to Kelly. When she fell in love with Quint, she had a change of heart over all the trouble she had caused, so she changed the baby's name to Anastasia Louise, shortened to Stacey. Quint was a devoted stepfather and Henry treated her like his own granddaughter.  After Quint and Nola leave SF, I believe Stacey is never seen again. Which is odd, you would think they would have brought her back with Nola and J, but they never did.
