Today I learned that former SNL castmember Ann Risley played a character, Hermoine, on The Doctors. Somebody (Ann herself?) appears to have posted her resume on her Wikipedia page.

Anyway, I looked up Hermoine, who appeared (apparently not opposite Alec Baldwin's Billy) in the summer of 1982.

Wow. Never knew that. Fascinating. I always just picture Risley fading away after her unfortunate SNL stint.

The Doctors and SNL taped in the same building. I used to have a scan somewhere of Burt Reynolds posing with James Pritchett on the SNL stage during Burt's (terrible) hosting gig - Burt's mother was a big Doctors fan.

It makes you wish that Ann would have caught on, and had a second act as a New York soap actress.

She would have been a good Elizabeth Spaulding recast.

Ah, yes, Elizabeth. I was thinking of roles introduced in 1983, like Donna Love.

I could see that too, although she may not have had the right humor (ironic as she was on a sketch comedy show).

I have finished watching all  the episodes availiable on the  app.

Does anyone know if there are recaps of 1981 and 1982 availiable on line? I have done a search but haven't come up with anything.

There are classic Soap Opera Digest synopsis posted here, includes all of 1981 and 1982.

There are about a little over a dozen 1981/82 episodes available on the most common video sharing sites as well, including the final episode. I won't share links publicly, but a google search should bring some up :)

This uploader wanted to know if anyone out there has a specific date for this partial episode, beyond just 1978. I assume someone here might if this is one of the Retro TV episodes.
