How peculiar that both Neighbours and Home and Away released promos surrounding one of their characters dying, except with H&A it'll 100% be a main character.

Maybe the first time they've run this type of promo around the same time.

The main problem with the Neighbours version right now is the story just is not involving. Most of the people involved aren't worth caring about.

I have no clue how it actually rated in terms of viewers, but here in Aus Neighbours was trending on twitter during and after the Thursday episode which is something that doesn’t ordinarily happen.

It probably doesn’t mean much, but at least there is still some decent level of audience for the show over here which is good to see.

After being dormant or uploading months behind, the Neighbours Youtube channel has started throwing clips up much more quickly. Now that they are mostly caught up to new episodes, they've started putting up some of their social media material. I hope some of the interviews or the weekly Haz spoiler gossips might show up at some point (those were better use of Haz than his scripts often were). Here's the first of a number of recaps they did with Paul.

And this is the Toadie pop a squat scene that makes me cringe any time I think of it (which is, sadly, too often).

So Mac & Haz are really leaving?

Yes: https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2024/09/04/ill-miss-everything-neighbours-confirms-haz-and-mackenzies-departure/

I'm really disappointed. First Toadie, now Haz and Mackenzie who were the biggest draws for me as a reboot viewer. It's crazy to me that these seem to be show dictated exits, but these characters drove so much story during the first year. Also a shame because I've been enjoying the show so much lately.

Of course I will stick with it, but I don't understand these choices at all.

Mack is the only one I’m not sure of, but Toadie and Haz were definitely not the actors choice.
