Absolutely, and anyone connected to them. Sorry Moira and Rhona. You may be great actresses, but I've had enough.

Yes!! I have a convert to the cause!   :D   Maybe this could be the start of a movement.

Did Bob ever find out Cain's part in his daughter's death?

I honestly can't remember, but I don't think so. Not that it would have mattered. Cain, like the rest of that clan, always gets away with everything. And then they pass judgment on others. Yuck, I can't stand them!!!  🤢

I'd have him find out and start a campaign to kick the Dingles out of the village once and for all.

Adam would return from being on the run and finally feeling guilty enough to be a good mother, Moira takes the rightful rap for Emma's death. Then proceed with an Adam/Victoria/Daz Eden triangle!

And so many more characters would return that belong on the show. Joe, Viv, Terry back from the dead, Kathy, Matt, Dolly, Andy, Robert, Sandy, the forgotten Merrick (was his name Tommy?), one of Marian's children/grandchildren to be the new owners of The Woolpack, Emily to be the new Vicar, Scott, Kelly, Nikhil, Priya. The correct children associated with them. People of colour anywhere it can be achieved. Let's have a field day!

The show is just completely gutted. I don't even think it matters who goes at this point. There are some characters who still have value, like Laurel, but the show never knows what to do with them.

I was just coming in here to check on you both b/c I saw today was their 30th anniversary on the show. You both good? 🤣

30 years of torture! Isn't this something for Amnesty International to investigate?

Actually the first Dingle, Ben, appeared in August 1994. He only appeared for one episode though before he died. I wish the rest of them could have followed his example.....

🤣

Jokes aside, it has always concerned me how these shows shove a newer "core" family down the viewers' throats while forgetting the actual core family of the show (in this case, the Sugdens).

And they are just now getting around to killing Zak? Didn't Steve Halliwell pass in 2023?

And boy did they shove the Dingles down our throats with a vengeance back then. They showed up out of nowhere and infested the whole show, like rodents.  <_<

What made it even worse was that they were so incredibly unlikeable and off-putting right from the start. I guess they were trying for some kind of hillbilly comedy, but that fell completely flat, at least for me. The way they behaved like pigs at Joe's funeral would be enough in itself but unfortunately that was just the tip of the iceberg. It still makes my skin crawl.

I all fairness, it took them a long while to address Annie's status after Sheila Mercier's death as well. (No other comparison of course. Annie was a legend, and Zak was....well, a Dingle)

But I think Annie's is different b/c she was off the canvas for so long, so they could execute that story at any time. Do I agree with that? No. I just feel like soaps need to address deaths right then or at least pay homage. But that's just me.

And while the Dingles don't unnerve me as most, I do hold a lot of the same sentiments that they do eat the whole show. There's too many of them. About 90% of them can go at this point and no one would tell they are gone. I'd only keep Cain (b/c of Moira), Sam, and Marlon. The rest could go. Aaron, Chas, and Charity should've been ditched a LONG time ago. I just feel that with every Dingle on cast, that spot should be occupied by a Sugden or Merrick.

In many cases it may be left up to when the actor's family is comfortable, or the cast and crew are comfortable. Zak wasn't a character who was central to story in his last years, so they probably weren't as rushed.

Putting it that way makes more sense.

Only time I loved some of the Dingles was during the 2000‘s when Debbie (which I hate normally) in a Lovestory with Jasmine played by Jenna Coleman.
Charity‘s first exit.
Belle and Lachlan‘s story and belles mental illness.

Belle Dingle is the only Dingle worth keeping

I wish they would’ve built more to the King Family.

i don’t think it’s their actors fault to be honest. But we will never get rid of them coz the people from the UK will always love Cain and the Dingles and vote them as best family at every award show there is
