Yep! Too bad!

It would've been great to have a q. regarding the possible changes in the story department!

So, it looks like the week of June 21st, EastEnders will only be airing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. No Tuesday and Thursday showings.. Due to the World Cup, of course.

Monday and Wednesday's showing are an hour-long to make up for the two days off. Also on Monday, the show airs from 8.00-9.00pm, on Tuesday it airs from 7.00-8.00pm, and on Wednesday, it airs from 7.30-8.00pm.

It also looks like this is the week Stacey gives birth, here's the detailed spoilers for the week:

Monday 21 June

8.00-9.00pm BBC ONE

Lucy plays a dangerous game with Adam but is caught red-handed by Ian, in a double helping of action from Albert Square.

Liz gets the wrong end of the stick with Patrick, and Libby battles her feelings when she sees Darren and Jodie happy together.

When Glenda gets under Peggy's feet at the Vic, Ronnie has a plan.

Elsewhere, Stacey's world is shattered by straight-talking Janine.

Wednesday 23 June

7.00-8.00pm BBC ONE

Max follows his heart straight to Tanya but is stunned when she reveals her news, in the latest visit to Walford.

Meanwhile, Vanessa tries hard to stay on top of her double life and keep her husband sweet.

When a frantic Stacey goes into labour, the only person she doesn't want to see is the one person who ends up being there for her.

Friday 25 June

7.30-8.00pm BBC ONE

Abi is concerned about her dad and plays parent when a hungover Max tries to get his act together, in tonight's visit to Albert Square.

Meanwhile, Liz realises she can't continue her relationship with Patrick without Owen's blessing.

Elsewhere, Janine's gutted when Ryan packs his bags; and Stacey is missing Bradley.

Thanks. I just wondered if that bit meant something definitive for Glenda.

So are they just going to have Lucy string Adam along so Libby will find out how sleazy he is and then dump him? I'll be glad when he's gone.

I'm glad that

they will have Darren tell Jodie that he has a son. As tacky as that story was it can still impact Darren's character if he's staying on the Square.

Did you hear that supposedly

Peggy, Roxy and Ronnie were seen shopping at a bridal store.

Tuesday & Thursday got really boring for what they were.

The Teen story just got duller and duller and while some characters have great potential to continue on,sadly this week showed that they are not going to be the future with that type of acting. Zsa Zsa was poor this week and Fatboy was surprisingly good. I am interested more in Arthur Chubb than Fatboy.I wonder if Lucy will plot revenge against the gang.

Peggy & Pat was comedic at the end,but apart from Monday it was boring.

As I've been saying and as Ellie pointed out in a post at Walford Web, you won't see Bryan's stories and ideas start to filter through until Autumn, so it'll be a while yet before we start to notice Bryan's influence.

Most of his immediate influence will be felt with characters like Kim, Vanessa, Jodie, and Mercy's grandmother Grace.

I don't expect things to change until somewhere in August, when we should get a clearer idea of Kirkwood's vision.

Santer giving up on the show so long ago has put Kirkwood in a bad place. Not only has he had to fire a ton of the dead wood left behind, but the dud stories left behind are likely to be blamed on Kirkwood.

Kirkwood said the first story he got to really sink his teeth into is Peggy's exit, so I guess her exit story will be the real kickoff point to his regime. Keep in mind, Peggy isn't leaving until like late August/September. Kat and Alfie should also be returning around this time...

Zoe Lucker interview with GMTV, you can see a very brief part of Vanessa's first scenes with Max at the beginning of the clip:

God, Thursday's episode was painful to watch. This teen sh!t is beyond horrible, none of those characters are worth any effort. There's just no story there. I'll be happy when Leon and Zsa Zsa are gone. I'm glad teen week is coming to an end...

The Harvey, Pat and Peggy stuff was just stupid filler today and I'm glad this stupid plot is done.

There was nothing else, you can clearly tell Santer gave up as he knew these episodes were his swansong.
