I see this storyline as a step in the right direction. It's a social issue and it's very All My Children. I think Agnes Nixon would be proud of the concept, but let's see if the delivery is just as good.

I agree. I think that RPG and BE will rock this storyline and hopefully the writing will be good given this is Pratt's first BIG storyline.

I LOVE the concept and embrace the fact that this story is NEW and different. I can't wait for it to start!! The sooner the better! :D

Hmmm..

This actually sounds good. If this is writen properly I can see this as a GREAT storyline.

Even though I hate that they are doing a soap no-no (pairing two actors who played supercouples on another show), this sounds like the most mature thing that anyone's done on AMC in years.

This storyline sounds interesting, maybe Pratt will surprise us.

Can you imagine, after all the bashing we've done, that we might actually like what he writes?

To be fair, I've yet to complain about Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty. He does a good job on those shows. And who DIDN'T like the camp-fest that was Melrose Place?

I think his involvement in those DH and UB are in name only. He may have had a hand in the pilot but that's about it. As far as MP, I think most of the credit should go to Darren Star. Once Pratt took over the reigns, the show started to falter a bit.

Well, it doesn't sound too bad! I'm still very skeptical, but I'm glad that he's adding some unique qualities to the Jake/Taylor relationship.

I REALLY want to read next week's column, since we're going to find out what's in store for us.

I think Pratt had a hand in season two of Ugly Betty. He wrote the episode "I See Me, I.C.U" which was a great episode. Lots of light humor mixed well with compelling family drama.

sounding good and playing out good are very diff.

also, have we not learned? almost every HW comes on and does well. Its the after 6 months part...

Exactly. Give him six months and then start complaining, if necessary.

I'm honestly willing to give him a chance at AMC. He just may surprise us.

If anything Pratt is more sophisticated than B/E. Those two are stuck in the 1950s. Anyone remember a few months ago when Zach's ex fling flung herself off a cliff?
