I think that amazing method actor Josh Morrow actor filled in at least a Jude amongst all was Dudes... ;)

I was shocked though that Amber and Professor DumbAss christened the Restless Sytle set... Such honors usually go to Prince Dickolas. :P Or did I blind/FF/miss a round of Phick action in this set!?

I actually watched this scene, prepared to hate it given what both of you (for me) previewed.

I find you did the scene a disservice.

First, the scene was important "establishment" scene (IMO) for future events, and it did not drag. Bill Bell did stuff like this all the time.

Second, the word "dude" wasn't a part of the scene, and certainly not a repeated one. Nick just did the right thing--making sure Sabrina wasn't getting smeared. It was a perfunctory scene...and it simply sets up a later "betrayal" arc when Jack (you know he's gonna) inserts scurrilous material in Adrian's piece. I realize now that the intent was to diminish Morrow as an actor. I just don't think this was the scene to do it with.

Ok, I understand where your coming from, and yeah the scene was used so that they could set up Jack betraying Nick(hopefully leading to the end of this crap story) but did it have to go on so long. I mean seriously, Nick repeated the same thing like 12 times. And how did I give the scene a disservice? I just simply stated I didn't get why they would spend so long on a scene that should have lasted less then a minute.

OK, so I just received my CBS Daytime e-newsletter. Y&R has a picture of Daniel Goddard (Cane) and is promoted as: "Nothing can come between them but one woman is giving it her best shot."

I love you, Y&R, but where is the suspense? Why invest if it's a foregone conclusion?

Well, I didn't time it, but was it REALLY 3 minutes? :)

The disservice was more the subsequent post which riffed on "Dude"...which was not an accurate description of the scene :) No offense intended, so I'm sorry if it came across that way.

That is an interesting point...they have been keeping him covered.

Yesterday was a nice contrast between Nick (untailored short sleeve shirt and chinos) and Jack (all pressed and crisp). They are back to minimizing Nick...something they STOPPED doing in the interval after Cassie's death, and certainly in LML's reign (when he became the no-BS straight shooter with some wisdom and intelligence). Now Nick is again the idiot who is being snookered by Jack and failed to listen to his daddy. I find that unfortunate....I preferred the stronger, smarter Nick.

But they even kept Morrow covered relative to Daniel Goddard. Goddard was wearing that very tailored (one might say tight) fine-weave shirt, so that Morrow's seemed billowing in contrast.

Like a lot of new daddies (3rd child was born fairly recently) I wondered if he gained a few pounds/had less time for fitness during this.

I think they are just back to Nick is an every guys kinda guy. Because he is. He plays video games, drinks beer, likes to keep it simple. His style should refelect that, esp since he is at a place like Restless Style. Jack is... well he is nothing like nick. He would wear a perfectly pressed suit and tie everyday no matter what.

Tho,a s far as the char goes i do like this bit. Nick trying to protect Sabrina even tho he doesnt really like her, and Jack trying to smear her to get Victor. Nick will once again be placed back in the middle of the two - where he should be. Jack is very much father-like to Nick and Victor is his father. Also, the way Victor always comes out ontop re Jack, Jack does with Nick. Its intersting.

as for Morrow idk why they are keeping him all coverd up. He is sex. When i picture a sexu dude i picture Nick Newman and i want to see more of him in less! Thats an agenda to push right there - More Nick In less Clothing!

    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)
