Members dragonflies
So because it's SOP that makes it okay? No one should be treated this despicably. I mean what the eff did they expect when they destroyed Harley that Beth would kiss the ground they walk on and thank them for it?
Members MTSRocks
How was she treated more despicably than any other employee?
Members dragonflies
^ That doesn't answer my question, just because it's SOP doesn't mean it's okay. NO ONE should be treated this way I'm sorry but Ellen Wheeler and co should be ASHAMED
Members MTSRocks
^^^Yeah but, what about conflict of interest? She jumped ship to another network, what did she expect? A limo, and red carpet leading to her room?
Members DeeeDee
She's not Kim Zimmer after all!

Members EricMontreal22
Really?? Wow. That's no way for a boss to treat an employee in ANY situation
Members MTSRocks
^^^But she's not an employee anymore. This is the real world people, it's tough ya know. Plus, she already has a new job, gets to be closer with her family and co-star RPG, so why all the fuss. And once again, who strolls into work on a SUNDAY of all day thinking they could just pack up and leave? I'd love to here P&G side with this, because I bet a lot more went down over this. In the ends, this whole article only serves to further bash P&G. And honestly, there are plenty of better and legitimate reasons to bash them, so this one pretty much falls flat. LoL, precisely. Members NYC123
No one should be treated that way though. Beth went through alot at GL. She was there for 20+ years! That says ALOT!
Members Rocket Man
Oh boooo-hooooo, poor Beth couldn't get in on a Sunday since we all know most television studios are closed. No matter where you are ALL workplaces whether if you quit or got fired you will be escorted outside of company time for your personal things. Get a clue people, Beth Ehlers isn't exactly the Pope of Springfield. She's such a drama queen that I've lost huge respect and everything we've heard from the SOW, SOD, internet, and blogs that she's been running her mouth along with RPG to these "serious" reporters. BE and RPG have been burning bridges for the past few months when they BOTH made decisions to leave the show and yet they being unprofessional about it. By being unprofessional about it is by confiding in a blood-sucking reporters who are in to SELL $$$$$ their own rags to people who "actually" believe everything they read pages after pages and writing on blogs. I have yet to this day to read or hear anything that GL, CBS or P&G say anything bad about RPG or BE since they seem to be professional about it by not saying anything. It has been mentioned many times in the other message boards that BE is not a team player. If any GL fans or former fans have noticed that during the entire 2007 Hands-On charity events (celebrating GL 70th Anniversary) around the country, she was the only person from GL that did not participate not even ONCE, even all the recurring actors participated. She did not attend fan events as much as other or any other GL-related events, which gives you a clear picture of who she really is. She needs to learn to shut her mouth if she can't take it. BE and RPG both needs to take their thumbs out of their mouths and own up to their decisions. Now that they are both on AMC since they wanted to work together, SO I ASK ALL OF YOU CAN WE ALL MOVE ON???!!! Daytime soap does not revolve around them. Good riddance. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Now Beth, I'm sure the same thing will happen to you next year when Frons and Pratt realize that there's nothing to do with your character and the fact that you're a woman over 40 on the show... Members Soapsuds
Great post and I totally agree. BE and RPG were really laying it thick during the Emmys. Yes, I am JOINING AMC...gushing over RGP..the two of them make me sick. All this is being said ...with Wheeler just a few steps away...how [!@#$%^&*]....LOL. Trying to rub it in RGP and BE???...hmmmmm...I thinks so. She will probably be gone in six months. The character sounds just horrible.
Members Soapsuds
Let me put it this way. Do you see Martha Byrne acting this way?? No the same thing happened to her. She has class.
Members Dan
LMAO! Here I thought I was alone. But I haven't enjoyed a performance from BE since Gus/Harley's non-wedding in 2004. (Of course, I haven't seen all that many after lol.) But Harley became such a contemptible shrew and that is partly based on BE's performance. And yes, that comment about there being nothing for Harley without Gus pissed me off too. That being said, I do feel somewhat bad for BE. After all, she went to another show. It's not as if she went "Nelson Branco" on Wheeler and present GL.
Members rhinohide
Thank you! The character of Harley has transcended multiple Executive producers, and different head writers. Harley is certainly not perfect, and that's part of her charm as my favorite character. But what Ellen Wheeler has doen to her approaches a point of no return. Eff Em! If they can't protect a franchise character then what are we to expect for the few who remain?
