OLTL: Discussion for the week June 2-6

Well, I liked parts of it, but it was very sensationalistic and overall poorly-executed. This stuff is true, classic soap opera.

OMG to think that today was just the beginning of another fanstastic week ... and the month is going to be so great.

I am just hoping my Blair doesn't get back-burnered with all the returns. She should get some good material, since she can't stand Tina or Marty.

I am on edge with excitement.

I choose to watch OLTL live over watching Days..I'll catch Days on the dvr later..And i was very entertained today..Loved Dorian's grand entrance and big reveal about Jared..Also it was great having so many characters on to react to the news....Also David is a riot, i was laughing so hard when Dorian told him he got wrinkles when he tried to figure stuff out..

I didn't really care for the police stuff, mainly because i have no idea whats going on with that..

Nash just wears the look of someone that's about to have it all go down the drain--it may be Forbes' best and worst acting since he's been on the show.

Dorian has sunk to new levels of evil and I like it and dislike it for obvious reasons. I like it because it's classic Dorian but I don't like it because she's scrapping the bottom to get what she wants and it takes getting used to loving to hate her rather than hating to love her.

It's a pisser having a job where you have no internet access, and you wait with baited breath for text messages giving you updates on what's going on, on the show. LOL.

I LOVE this show!!

I thought Viki was going to throttle Roxy for her part in this Rex lie, and I still want to think that Ron is going back to "Is Mitch Laurence Rex's dad?" Roxy sure did get the hell out of dodge when she got the chance, but hey, I got some Viki/David scenes which I will take any time, any day of the week. I have to wonder if David is going to turn on Dorian in all of this Charlie/Viki business.

The BE Stockholders meetings was very good, and I loved Lindsay's "Uh oh." when Dorian walked into the room. And the look of "I think I'm going to throw up." on Natalie and Jared's face when Dorian announced he wasnt a Buchanan.

Don't watch anything John.

I FLOVE you banner!!!

EDGE had spurts of adrenaline like no other soap, different minor mysteries tying into the major one. I can see the comparison. months (back then, years) of build-up and than Bang! Pow! Wham! - a couple of weeks of tingling and gooseflesh as one big bomb, containing several plotlines, is detonated.

In this case, for me anyway, it's all about who is setting it off. Dorian is such a bitch but I can't help but smile. I'd lay bets this is the most fun Robin S. has had in a long time. It shows on her face.

I can only hope this leads to a major confrontation between Viki and Dorian, yet again. Fasten your seatbelts. This ride is just beginning.

We should start a club then, Or better yet, a support group. :P

Yup! We have so many things to look forward to DOWN THE ROAD, while at the time looking foward to the NEXT episode.

I cannot wait until we see the episodes when everyone finds out what Dorian did and when Viki confronts Dorian. I bet those episodes will probably air during November Sweeps.

when watching this, I was thinking that they should have made this the Women of the Year awards and have Dorian's announcement cause drama and mayhem for Natalie. LOL...that would have been keeping in with tradition

    • Yeah, I don't really love Felicity being used to push the Chad/Cat agenda.  I don't get the question on Xander's behavior either.  He was wrong and offensive. I like Xander.  I think Paul Telfer is great.  If Marlena did the same thing I would say she's wrong too.  Characters are imperfect and that's fine.
    • Vanessa told Joey that her best friend had cheated and has a surprise daughter.  Joey said the same had happened to him.  I wasn't sure if Joey was saying he has an adult out-of-wedlock child?
    • Interesting. I definitely think that it's possible that Jan could be a former lover of Joey's from back in the day, maybe back when he was still married. I won't be surprised if it comes out at some point that Jan used to be an escort or something.
    • Quick question, How are you guys making time to watch all these soaps? I consider myself a pretty organized person, but since I have committed to watching more of the older soaps. I feel all over the place, and can not figure out a schedule that seems to work.  How are you all doing it?   Thanks. I will check that out.
    • Oh, poor Henry had to wait for the grave to finally come "out"! The whole things was McTavish plot dictated so that Hart could have money to pull off his scam of Roger later. The fortune is totally forgotten later. Which reminds me WHY did they fire Hilliard who actually could kinda pass for a midwestern farm boy..from JOISEY Grillo? AM and Lucy's wedding has got to be the weirdest wedding up to that point and really exemplified the McLaiby cheesy run. Universal Studios? And the Spauldings shut the place down for the wedding that only involves 6 people??? Its not even that weird that Bridget and David arent there...they didn't even invite AM's Mom or Grandfather...
    • It seems easy to be empathic that if a random man raised his voice to me at the mall today, I would not be appeased if he later went and apologized to my sister. I like giving the character more to do, because there is a value in representing a person with a congenital disorder being employed, given that the unemployment rate in that community tops 83%.  I just hope they find a voice for the character that matches her functioning ability.  As for Cat, I wonder if she is going to inherit any of Clyde's money?  And that was the reason for the phone call.  I know he's not dead, but he could have named her family as the beneficiary of some insurance policy if he were to be incapacitated.  And the call could have been an attorney trying to reach her to give her money.
    • Oh you may have been watching the Teresa/Tom storyline...or "Terry the tumor" as she was called.
    • Are these new?! Damn, he is in the prime of his life.
    • He is a 40 year old large grown man "raising his voice" and calling a teenage girl "careless".  That's inappropriate.  I am not going to argue at the octave of his voice although I would consider it yelling.  Felicity was visibly upset.  She also has special needs, but it would be wrong to do that to anyone in general.  Xander was out of line.  He didn't immediately apologize or admit he was wrong until Princess Sarah was okay.  Idk, go find your wife's epipen instead of berating a young girl.  Or, you know, Sarah could have asked if there was any pistachio in her scone as a pre-caution.  That's how most people with allergies that severe order things. I do think this story or plot point is silly, but acting like Xander did nothing wrong is just strange.  Even if Felicity DID do something wrong was he just going to continue to go on and on while his wife was going into shock?  That's the proper reaction lol.
