Tamara's stint was always supposed to be short term. (Spec was even that it was just while the writers strike was affecting pilot season that a few former soap stars returned for that reason...see Sarah Brown)

I don't think Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison's firing had anything to do with the hiring of Tamara Braun. It just happened to occur around the same time.

That said, I'm glad they're gone. I don't agree with the way they were let go at all, but I'm glad to be rid of Days of Shelle's Lives.

I don't understand why some are surprised. She wasn't supposed to stay on for a long time anyway.

As for Shelle, don't miss them. Never liked Shelle that much anyway, no matter what actors they had in the roles. I doubt they where let go because of Tamara.

While i would have loved for Tamara to have decided to stick around longer..I'm not shocked she's leaving..Like others i think she only took the job to keep working during the writers strike..And she did a fabulous job and could potentially get an emmy nomination from her work..I just hope they continue to use her for the next few months..As the end of summer is still a while away..I'm looking forward to Ava sharing scenes with Nicole and EJ in the coming weeks..

Yup. It isnt like shes leaving tomorrow. She came on in January and is leaving at the end of summer (i would assume thats aug/sept). Thats a good 8 or 9 months and it was always said she was staying short term.

I would lkove her to stay forever tho. She is fab and Ava has been a blast! They could so so much with her. Maybe her and Daniel have a past? She could set her eyes on Jawn. She could bond and become BFF's with Nicole and start going for EJ or even Lucas.

as for SC, he should had been Mike Horton. Thats who they should have casted him as. I know he got the role that Jason G. (ex-Coop, GH) was going for and thats why he is not, but if they age a char 20 years why not make him mike horton?

I am very sorry that she is leaving. But Ava as a character was something that belonged to the eighties. Even the name Ava Vitalli sounds a little bit...

There would be so much potential for TB as Sarah. Plus Sarah could develop feelings for Bo or something.

Nick Fallon should never have existed. It wouls be much more fun if BB joined the cast as geeky Jeremy Horton.

I always felt that Tamara's return was temporary to keep her floating during the writers strike, so I can't say I am suprised and I doubt there were hurt feelings for this. Tamara is a strong indie actress she'll be fine and I am sure any soap would scoop her up in a heartbeat. She is not lacking for work nor begging for scraps.

Exactly, Tamara said she came back to daytime because of the strike. But the Higley-hates loves to bash her so they will do so no matter what.
