I'm watching season three and this is like soap on crack!

Kimberly's going to fail her psych eval! Amanda's suddenly feeling tired (leading to her cancer)! Sydney's about to join a cult with Traci Lords!

Alison will survive - she's like a rash I can't get rid off.

Started watching MP 10 years ago and finally made it through S6 and into 7. I hate Samantha one episode and don't mind her the next but I actually grew to enjoy the Sam/Billy/Jennifer/Jeff mess and loved how they broke out into two separate fights on the complex but it was missing something older MP didn't miss and that was everyone leaving their apartments to watch the fight.

Didn't mind the four of them exiting but I kinda wanted Sam to leave single and lonely after the crap she pulled and just like they did with Jake/Jo they failed to reunite Billy and Alison.

The Coop/Lexi climax was great I'm glad he's gone and it was nice to see the craziness ease back into the show and in the end he was right, it was all Megan's fault that he got put into that situation.

Jane being back is more than a fresh air. She has saved the show for me. I haven't enjoyed the show as much as I have in season 7 since the beginning of season 4.

I love love love season 3. That was the last perfect season to me. But I think they ran through so much story or plot rather from seasons 2-4 that it pushed the show back. They ran out of ideas and destroyed half the characters in the process.

There's so much things to build on from season three - Jasmine Guy! Traci Lords returning! Maybe even Alison's sister... yet they never did.

The episode title "Boxing Sydney"...

I forgot this whole "random bad plot that cop is gay and wants to sex Matt"-plot.

It's hilarious. And bad. It's like - "we ran out of plot ideas and had to give him something".

Matt is Gay. A Gay is Matt.

Jo at least takes control!

Thanks for posting that! That was fun.

Very interesting about the art giving subconscious messages and the backstage tuna and cajun chicken stories LOL

It's nice to see that the cast still have such vivid memories, and they are pretty clear-headed about what parts of the show worked/didn't work. They truly seem to love it and not look down on it.

Nothing will EVER compare to the insane fun of Seasons 2 and (particularly) 3. By mid-Season 4, I'd realized it was over, but man those two seasons were great.

Are you sure, Vee?  I do wonder if Marcy was offered a role on the short-lived primetime soap Central Park West in the mid-1990s.  After all, CPWAll My Children, and Guiding Light were all generally done out of New York.  Also, both CPW and GL were aired on CBS.

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
    • AI has it wrong. David was working as an aide at PV Hospital due to failing to save his brother's life and refusing to continue as a doctor. His true profession was revealed later. Edna had divorced him while he was in Vietnam and he had no reason to be in contact with her. He had no idea that he had a daughter.  Ruth was Ruth Martin, she was still married to Joe, not Jeff. He was not deceiving Ruth as he believed that Edna was his ex. The poisoning story happened late in his run and probably introduced when they knew Gleason was leaving. AI's interpretation of him as conniving seems to based on that short lived poisoning story and other misinformation. For most of 76 he was involved in the Ruth/Joe triangle to the point where Ruth was ready to divorce Joe and leave town. Joe had to have surgery, David operated and Ruth suddenly realized she wanted to stay with Joe despite all the problems they'd been happening. David then got involved with Christina with Jeff and then Edna as complications. And he arrived late 75 not 76.
    • Interesting that they started going into a supernatural direction with ghosts - I don't think they really did that before? I wonder if it was a response to getting put so late in the afternoon and I guess trying to appeal to that former Dark Shadows audience?
    • That makes sense then! Is there a place where you can read more Daytime Serial Newsletters? They sound very informative. Thank you

    • Yep. Access to the Vault works fine but upon downloading attempts an error message pops up.   Maybe it is just a temporary glitch.

    • Downloading isn't working at all.
    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark
