GH makes offer to.....

I it would be a worthy conclusion to Sonny's reign in Port Charles, and finally give the Brenda character her final closure, instead of always revisiting Brenda and her relationships on the current canvas.

Plus it is always nice to see Vanessa back on our screens. It still makes me sad that LV refused to let her out of her contract for Lila's funeral to honor Anna Lee.

Loved me some VM. She'd be the only thing that would get me to watch this morally repugnant and deeply unwatchable show.

OMG this is awesome. GH should do WHATEVER it takes to get her, the daytime genre is not what it was in 2003 (or was that 04) when they couldn't meet her demands. And given the way GH has been free falling (despite being watchable IMO) they should stop at no cost. Marcil should jump on this boat... Hope it pans out.

Forget Vanessa Marcil they really need Genie Francis back instead IMO then I might actually tuned back into this horrible show.

I'd probably watch just for Brenda..love Vanessa Marcil, she was the only reason i watched Las Vegas for so long..

If BrenDUH comes back.....well let the holier than thou pontificating begin!!! Please keep her off General Hospital! We already have two skanks there (Claudia and Sam). We don't need to make three a crowd by adding Ms. Wraparound Barrett!

I have never liked BrenDUH and hope she never returns to this show.

Yeah she won an emmy IMO she didn't deserve, much like Natalia <_<

Of course she did not deserve it. She only won because the judges felt sorry for the way ABC treated her

As much as I dislike about 90% of ABC's decisions, they were right on the money to deny her request of making more money than Tony Geary all the while having a reduced work schedule.

You also got to love how she made a big fuss about wanting to spend more time with her son, yet she hops on a plane to Africa the first chance she gets

I don't like Brenda, can't stand her and never have. But if her return means Sonny leaving, then I'm all for it.

That would be the only good coming from her return. If she comes back, all she will do is ping pong back and forth between Sonny and Jax, spread her legs wider than China, and giggle every two seconds. -_-

If she does come back GH ratings will skyrocket and this can be good for us because maybe Sonny is leaving! :D

And they would just fall right after she leaves, which she will do once things don't go her way (I give it another six month stint). She is like the Cady McClain on the west coast with the difference being VM's back and forth is with one show

And give me ONE REASON why they should have caved in to her demands, which were ludicrous and outrageous at best

She should keep focusing on Primetime rather than go back to a show where the same head writer gave her a crap return story in 2002....she will only get a bad one again

I loved Brenda's return story. Vanessa did get some meaty material. I loved her chemistry with Steve Burton, and loved where that storyline was going. She shook so many things up with her last return. Guza and Pratt were still doing well at that time IMO. Either that, or MMT's reign had diluted my view of GH to such an all time low I was still jaded by Guza and Pratt.

The story only fell apart after Vanessa announced she was leaving again. Were her demands out there, yes. The bottom line is that she did cause ratings to soar. The show did return a little to its mid-90s greatness. For the most part, the canvas was still pretty balances. The Q's got some great airtime, including Ned who I think was so badly backburned. It was all in good preparation for the 40th Anniversary of the show.

The only two bad parts IMO from that time was Kristina Wagner's unceremonious dismissal, which I still think was a huge mistake; and, Skye and Jax's romance disintegrating because let's face it, Ingo and Robin were on fire.

I enjoyed VM when she first started on the show. If they brought her back it should be to escort Sonny out of Port Charles, but I could see her coming back even if MB did not leave. She could add more conflict to the Jax/Carly marriage, throw a wrench in the Liason pairing, could be propositioned by Claudia to help bring down Sonny and she could be there to help Robin with the baby....

I do not agree with VM's Emmy win and I think GH had every right to deny her request. I also wish the show would bring back Genie Francis, especially with whispers that Tony Geary is looking to retire. Luke and Laura should go off together
