Something missing with the show is a major high stakes story. Everything is pleasant, but all the storylines feel like B stories. I don't feel like anything is building to a major climax. That could be the case with Gloria's story, but it seems these new writers will have Jack lose to her as well. With even Alistair falling in love with her there is no hope. Yippie, another guy who will soon hate Jack.

I did love the previous for Monday's episode with Jill and Katherine meeting Alistair. Those scenes should be good and it's nice to see the show recongnize Jill's connection to John. I feel like she should be a major player in Gloria's story based on her history with the Abbott's and Gloria herself! The new writers seem to be featuring Jill more regularly which is a plus in my book. I hope we can hurry and reach the Maria Arena Bell episodes. I'm hoping she's writing a story bible and assembling a team which is why the show is so mellow these days.
