John had DNA tests doen years ago when he thought he may be Stefano's son. They came back that he was in no way blood related to Stefano.

He did? Wow, i don't remember it. It must've been a throw away line because I don't think it was part of a plotline. Do you remember that scene where Stefano mentioned it?

I dont recall it being a big plot point. It was usually tossed in relating to him remabling about being the Phoenix, returning from the died, being unstoppable...blah blah blah..."look, its my magical phoenix ring" blah blah.

DNA Tests don't mean a thing these days, especially for John Black...the man has had the blood of Roman Brady, Forrest Alamain, and everyone else in Salem!

Which brings me to one other point....

Once again, easily explained if Stefano didn't want anyone else to get their hands on the DiMera fortune and knew all along about John being Santo's illegitimate son. But God forbid it be addressed, even in one little scene.

Clearly, these are all facts they're hoping we've forgotten.

And for the record, while there's been some stellar stuff this week, I'll never forgive them for not including Stefano, EJ and Sami in the Ireland finale. That's just a travesty, especially after the last year.

There's more story to tell here. And we'll never see it.

So true, brimike!! Three key players weren't even involved with finale of the storyline!??? They used two great episodes to mask over their crappy story telling. Imagine those scenes with Stefano coming face-to-face with the woman who he thought ruined his family. So much potential wasted.

And wouldn't it make sense that Stefano would want the only other (immediate) heir to the DiMera empire to be removed from the picture, believing he's somebody else? Why else would he torture John for so many years? Erase so many of his memories? Because he never wants John (and in turn, Brady, Belle and Claire) to lay any claim on what's his! (Especially if Stefano's older six siblings have since died)

Exactly!! Stefano didn't want a Brady to ever be part of the Dimera Dynasty.

Imagine Stefano facing Colleen, a woman he once enjoyed spending time with as a boy, and Colleen ripping into him about twisting and warping Santo's final words to his son and causing years of tragedy (which would have nicely mirrored dying Stefano's scenes with Santo in the hospital last summer)?

I could go on and on...

One more thing - it would have been a breeze to get them there as well, since Sami and EJ were going into hiding anyway with the twins. EJ is from the United Kingdom, could easily have found a safehouse in Ireland. Sure, it's a coincidence that they'd end up where everyone else did. But it's a soap (Maison Blanche anyone? Aremid?) I would have forgiven the coincidence if it meant some serious drama.

I do feel sorry for Claire.

The first question she'sgoing to have to ask a young man when they go on their first date is....
