Members Gray Bunny
I'm sorry, but I'm *very* disappointed. This is the week of New Year's! In my 13 years of watching soaps, this is historically the biggest week for soap numbers. This is the week people are home from work, school, etc. and take the time to check out their old shows. Such weak, weak improvements! At least DAYS got a bump up in the rankings, but still at a 2.3! 4 out of the 8 soaps remained the SAME? Not even a tenth of an increase? Y&R went down? Only one soap above a 3.0? C'mon, this was Christmas/New Years, the week miracles were supposed to happen. The one time of year where we see how many viewers still out there are even remotely interested. Evidently, there isn't any interest from viewers who've tuned out on a regular basis. What a bummer, IMO.
Members c0rinne
Wow... GH went down the most over the past year in HH... I'm so surprised.
Members DevotedToAMC
I do not think there will be any drama next week because the usual troublemaker has now bit the dust faster than Gore can tell An Inconvenient Truth (no pun intended)
Members Evan
What an amusing thread! I don't watch DAYS or GH: I gave up on GH years ago, and DAYS lost me when Matt Ashford & Missy Reeves left the show. DAYS fans, who seem to make up 95% of the regulars here - I'm happy for you guys that the ratings are improving. The DiMeras and a resurrected John Black don't interest me, but we all have our preferences LOL I am enjoying B&B currently - in many respects, it is at least the equal of its big brother Y&R. The CBS soaps are definitely still the best of the bunch, as the ratings reflect.

Members Soapsuds
Thank you Toups. Holy Crap!!!! ATWT at #2 in women 18-49 with a 1.5?
Administrator Toups Posted January 14, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted January 14, 2008 I was shocked by that too!! I don't remember them being that high since I've covered the ratings. LOL I've been really impressed by ATWT's demos. And yeah, it looks like Jean is safe. LOL Glad DAYS got a +.4 in 18-34. That 0.9 last week was scary. Hopefully next week, DAYS/ATWT/B&B will all be ahead of GH.
Members Soapsuds
I don't think they ever have in ratings history. Well I mean early 80's to present time. I am sure they were #1 or #2 in that demo during their time at the top of the ratings in the 60's to mid 70's. ATWT has the best numbers of all the soaps from last year. Either up in ever category or just down -.1. There is no way they are going to fire Passant now though. I am still in shock. Seriously 18-49 is the most important number to advertisers. So it looks good for ATWT. And look at B&B too doing well. GL got a nice bump too. AMC dead last in that demo. No wonder ABC hasnt done a press release for the demos 18-49...LOL --------------------
