They've done a great job of taking Marcie and turning her from a sympathetic character into an on-edge lunatic. I've never liked Marcie but now that's she flown off the handle I'm kind of enjoying her at the moment.

So, is it time to speculate how Charlie will end up actually being Rex's father, therefore making Jared and Rex related? I'm hopeful they don't go in that direction but even when a soap is doing most things right (and well), there tends to be mistakes made in the hopes of connecting characters.

I'm also liking the Tess storyline. I'm hopeful it won't end predictably (AKA every Viki/Niki arch) but I won't hold my breath.

Oh my gosh, if Charlie was actually Rex's father, I wonder if he would actually be Walter or something and...

CHARLIE would be the one who took Natalie away from Viki?! :o

I know that is far fetched but it was a thought that came to mind.

Anyways, I LOVED the ending of today's ep. I am on the edge of my seat.

ITA. Brilliant move by putting Viki in this storyline. I'm finally liking this storyline now.

Charlie was funny today: "I'm Charlie........Charlie Bossom." The look on Rex's face was hilarious! LMAO

I'm really going to miss Noelle after this Paris, Texas storyline is over. I'll even miss Mo.

We already know that Gigi will eventually show up in Llanview due to her connection to Rex. I'm interested in Roxy's first scenes with Gigi. I wonder if she liked Rex's girlfriend back in high school, or if she thought she was a little tramp.

Putting Moe and Noelle on contract wasn't really clever if they won't use them longer, but never mind. They are both interesting and fun, but it would be hard to somehow make them go to Llanview. On the other hand, Gigi will probably be there.

Today's episode was great too. The hostage situation is quite interesting, I can't wait to see how it plays out (I'm spoiler-free).

    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.  She is trolling this thread.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
