There is one problem with this theory.

The first premise is that Graham Norton is awful.

Meanwhile, his new season debuts tonight on BBC America, and I shall be watching.

Translation: if I cannot accept the first premise, I cannot accept the resulting theory. :)

Here are the changes:

- Rick Draughon last listed as Co-Head Writer on October 10

- Renee Godelia last listed as Script Writer on October 10

- Victor Gialanella last listed as Script Editor on October 10

- Renee Godelia back listed as Associate Head Writer on October 13

- Rick Draughon back listed as Associate Head Writer on October 13

- Fran Myers back listed as Script Editor on October 13

- Christopher Whitesell first listed as Co-Head Writer on October 13

- Phideaux Xavier first listed as Director on October 13

Hopefully this is the beginning of DAYS getting better.

I was surprised to see Phideaux show up so quickly too! I guess Tomlin stole him again from JFP the first chance he got. I wonder who's going to take Phideaux's spot at GH.

Yup, those were Denney and Foster's last eps.

Pratt really needs to shake up the team a complete over-haul

Save Beldner- move him back to scripts and go from there

AMC really needs new script writers fast.

I'm going to give Tracey Thomson a few more scripts before i pass judgement usually after script 5 i will make my call.

Addie Walsh sucks plain and simple.

I do agree with Alvin when he said Carruthers needs to get a handle on the shows budget. They've really let the talented writers go and kept the cheap ones.

A good manager comes in, assesses the team he/she has inherited, and makes a personal assessment of strengths and weaknesses.

Then, after that assessment, he/she makes changes.

When there are not sudden team shifts, I have much greater respect for the manager. This is someone who is able to function beyond prejudice and prior knowledge.

So 13 weeks expire on November 27th. It makes sense – he probably wanted to see which of these writers work for him, which don't and then he'll make any further choices accordingly. Probably the contract cycles figure into all this. This also means that some of these people might have already been fired given that it took forever for Amanda L. Beall to disappear from the credits.

True. However, Charles Pratt Jr. has been in this industry since, like, forever. And started from the bottom after film school with his pal Guza. He knows it top to bottom. He's also been with the ABC for a whole lot of that time in daytime and he knew a thing or two about AMC's team prior to being named head writer.

I just don't think the way this team is now will last long.
