Chip's a close friend of Julie's so I don't think he's going any where. I don't know if he has any beef with Pratt though.

I miss her. I missed her the day she left Y&R. I enjoyed her stints on Dynasty, Days, and Melrose Place. She was my favorite Jill (really!) -- even if she redefined the character.

Back to thread: Is AMC the only daytime show Hayes has written for?

REALLY? Really? So that is where he met Adair?

Now I'll have to go back and try to figure out his contributions.

I have him listed a writer for Y&R and GH in the 80's, but I wasn't the one who did his profile. And in the end credits that I have, he's not listed in any of them.

I have a qustion, it was widely reported that Anges was writing AMC in 1995, when the show transitioned from the horrible McTavish to the much missed Broderick. However, was she credited for her work on AMC at the time?

Maybe something similar happened this time around, but AMC was such a mess that Agnes' influence was only mildly noticable...

Maybe Susan couldn't bring herself to mention E&B? Agnes is in the mix but she is most definitely NOT writing the show.

So, does this mean that Agnes at least consults on proposes, specifically, Erica's stories?

I really think Agnes's hand has been all over Erica's storylines. From the time on the run with Carmen, to her time in the big house, very reminiscent of the REAL Erica Kane.

She mentions Agnes a lot in this interview. Another quote:

"I guess if you do terrific material - Agnes Nixon is still very involved with Erica Kane, I get to work with a fantastic company of actors, very very talented group, many of whom themselves have been on Broadway and have vast experience."

I think La Lucci's statement is very specific: "Agnes Nixon is still very involved in Erica Kane"...as in Lucci's storyline. That's it. Interesting. Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps.

    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
