Members PhoenixRising05
The fact that Days stayed the same in a week focusing on the young cast proves the point that it's all in the story. Yes, there needs to be a balance but if the story is good, people tune in. I am so happy they stayed the same but not really much to rave about. Members Dinah07
Man I wish they would put the rating for SoapNet with CBS/ABC/NBC because I watch all my Soaps on SoapNet every night. And every weekend. Dinah
Members Evan
Yay for B&B: it so deserves a 3.0 for next week, it is kicking serious butt!
Members Juliajms
I'd love to look at it that way, but isn't it more likely that both GL and AMC are hanging on by the grace of the soap gods? The most horrible thing to me is that GH is at a 2.3 and that still gets them a tie for third. Holy $hit.
Members David_Vickers
Looks like the Zacharra mess and the killing of Emily/Haunting has caused GH's big low ratings. Deservedly so. ABC needs to wake up and fire Bob Guza & Jill Farren Phelps.
Members Chris B
B&B is ON FIRE! I'm so happy they're finally above 4 million viewers!!! The Y&R rise comes from Gloria/Jack, which got a few promos. Once Snorboria returns the ratings will drop again.
Members Steveo4
Good to see DAYS holding at 2.1, hopefully theyve stopped their complete free fall. Here's hoping they get to 2.5/2.6 over the holidays.
Members SoapQueen89
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! It is truly sad to see this for GH. It really is. *snicker* That is all. Jen
Members DaytimeFan
Here's why I look at GL's future a bit positively. GL is the cheapest soap in production and yet its demographics and ratings are very much in line with the more expensive AMC. So my thinking is that as long as it holds steady GL is probably making more money than AMC and will likely be more attractive to CBS to keep around. I'm not saying that GL and AMC aren't hanging on by the grace of the soap gods because they probably are. However, as long as they keep turning a profit I don't see them getting yanked because the networks have yet to discover programming that gets the same sort of numbers. I also think CBS and ABC will be reluctant to cancel either show because of how long they've both been on the air and the associated prestige that both shows carry. GL is the longest running program in history...until the show is in the red financially I just can't see Barbara Bloom wanting to be the woman who canceled GL. Additionally, with AMC it's all about Susan Lucci, arguably the most famous performer in the industry...I would think Brian Frons would be reluctant to cancel the show that made 'Erica Kane' a household name. Members Southofnowhere
By my way of thinking GL's numbers are my impressive because of the fact hat many markets air it at od times where as AMC has the same timespt it has always have. Viewers have to work a little harder to find GL ,which imo makes it numers a bit more impressvie.
Members Juliajms
I can see that, I'm just afraid that 1.9 isn't going to impress anyone under any circumstances. I hope Daytime fan is right and no one will want to be the one who finally canceled the longest running show on TV, or AMC for that matter. There's a breaking point somewhere, I just hope we haven't reached it. One thing about ABCD is at least they seem to be making moves to try to improve the situation. Members AddictedToSoaps
Uh, I really don't care if GH falls, so I'm not that upset about that. However, I'm apprehensive about some of the ratings falling (AMC in particular) because it might not lead to the HW's firing. but Y&R continues to rise! Members stenbeck212
OMG, before I got to the end I thought you were saying GL only had 10,000 viewers. Good for CBS. Hopefully Bob's stroke will be a boost to ATWT for this week.
Members Southofnowhere
ATWT got a 2.5 on Monday and a 2.4 on Tuesday. What went on those 2 days?
