Members maconrich
WORD! And no, EJ never admitted to killing the crooked cop (the non-Brady crooked cop that is) or any of the other things that went down during that time frame. He did (sort of) admit to Tony that he was behind the freezer truck stunt, but that was it. The writers seem to have him mirroring Sami's patterns - deny till ya die. Works for me. With lucas, for the most part could care less. *IF* the show manages to give him a storyline that puts him with other characters - and if he can have scenes where he's not ranting or doing the monotone thing with the never varying furrowed brow, I might be able to watch (and listen to) him. Otherwise it's mute and look away (unless he's with EJ and then I have to lower the sound so my hearing isn't damaged). If he does come back, I wouldn't mind if he brought Carrie Brady Reed Horton Reed Horton (is that right??) home with him. As for the bs, life's too short - and having the same crap repeated over and over again while playing God, Judge and Jury has become mundane at best. It's no wonder the writers had lucas and sami going through the why they should / why they shouldn't get divorced for weeks - they must think Days viewers like that sort of garbage. But at least the show moved on.

Members JackPeyton
also... as someone who loved Lumi and then loved Ejami i must admit.. i dont gave a damn about either one. for all i care sami can up and leave go meet someone new or better yet get a life and lucas & ej can die. Days has got to find a way to pull sami out and bring back the girl we loved for 15 years. Alison is amazing and deserves better. I want Sami to change and grow up yes - but i didnt want her to turn into what she is now. weak, pathtic, trying to please everyone, putting people before herself, unsure of what she wants. that sounds like like a girl who needs a hero - someine luike hopeless or jenn. I want sami to be know what she wants and go after it - no matter what it takes. even if it all blows up in her face. making sami a dimera - by marriage - is a great thing. she firs with them. that would be a good story to tell. move her into the damn mansion with tony anna stefano and ej. those are scenes i would wanna watch. Members Loretta3938
I told myself I would stay out of this thread, but here I go. I can understand how some of you feel about Lucas (and Bryan) because I've been there before...in fact, I felt the same way when James Scott was released from AMC. That may not be the same to you, but it was a crushing blow to me almost two years ago. I'm happy with EJ on Days, and I think James deserves applause for keeping enough viewers interested in a character who is, at times, a little darker than I personally would like. I don't know what TPTB have planned for the future for this character...or even Days...but I'll remain an EJ Wells fan for as long as James is on the show. The best dark characters aren't true villains...they have shades of gray, and even some light, to offset the darkness. We all see things in different ways...we wouldn't be human if we didn't. I find myself wishing sometimes that HS would be a little more specific in what's going on with these storylines. It may be fun to guess for awhile, but if something drags out for months, some viewers lose patience with it while others end up in fan wars on the message boards. We've had plenty of those, and I imagine a lot of that has to do with the holes left in the plots. For instance, Sami's alleged rape...what did we actually see? It's been nothing like the flashbacks we've watched with Stefanie's attack. That was cut with Sami saying she'd take her clothes off and the next scene between the two was her zipping up her sweater, and almost angrily asking "Satisfied?" Nothing about that Dec. 29th episode was typical rape plotting. Is it any wonder there is a sizeable group that thinks it wasn't rape? The same goes with the killing of Eve last year. EJ saying she had to be eliminated in no way means he confessed to killing her. There was a point where EJ seemed to be suspecting Kate of killing Eve...since Eve was also blackmailing her. We just don't know...and we probably never will. I can see this show going off the air with none of these "sticky" points resolved, unfortunately. Members daysfan
Honestly I am so sick of the damn Lumi/EJ wars. I was a Lumi fan for awhile but now this has gotten so ridiculous I'm not. No one is denying all three of these people commited crimes, and in a way thats what makes this triangle fair. All three of them have had their fare share of crime. I am not going to deny Lucas is much better than EJ, but EJ RAPED Sami. And that, I cannot stomach. The fact she would love the man who raped her. I'd never be able to tolerate some person getting together with their rapist! I mean its not like I applaud the couple of Austin and Sami either. Yeah Lucas has done alot to Sami, the most notable setting her up for murder. While its not really the best thing to do, I have to say its not the same situation as the EJ rape. Lucas never had the full intention of killing Franco and setting Sami up to take the fall. Lucas killed Franco to save his mother, and I think he and Kate were making a quick move by framing Sami. Again, it was wrong, but Lucas seemed sorry in the end and at least he stopped the damn execution. Has EJ ever apologized to Sami for raping her? As far as I can remember, NO! And it was rape...thats a serious thing! I know EJami fans will say "Well so is being framed for murder" but still! None of them are better than the other! Sami has done numerous crimes over the years, so has Lucas, and EJ has this past year too. And also the fact that EJ has commited almost as many as Lucas has over a number of years also sorta means something to me. I mean, alot of Lucas's weren't all at once, but EJ's are constant. Man, I am glad I got everything out about this triangle. But now, it seems to me both pairings are ruined, and I just don't care anymore. You know I would really love for Brandon to come back and Brami be attempted...that is the one relationship of Sami's that is the least damaged. Members Ryan
I don't see why it's still a debate. The characters have said it was rape, even Andre & Stefano (talking about EJ having to force himself on a woman to get the job done), the actors have said it was rape and so was the person who wrote it! Damn, there is your BIG FREAKIN SIGN!!!!
Members MikeGoldy
Right. To me, the most interesting thing about the potential pairing is that it was a rape. This would not be a hearts and flowers romance. If it ever happened, it would have to be messy and disturbing. I would tune out the minute it became Luke and Laura; I'm interested in Roger and Holly
Members daysfan
The rape debate is so tiresome, its been going on for almost a year. EJ held a gun to her head and practically threatened her into it. It was rape, and it seems like the EJami fanbase are the constant ones trying to say it wasn't rape. But if say Lucas held a gun to Sami's head and threatened her, to EJami fans it would be rape and to Lumi fans it wouldn't.
Members Khan
And I'd love to hold a gun to all three (Lucas, Sami, and EJ) and pull the trigger.
Members maconrich
Ryan I think your first sentence is what hits me the most, and to be honest I don't care *if* it was or wasn't - I'm just not sure why after almost a year it manages to come up so much whenever EJ/lucas/Sami are discussed. If Sheffers writing hadn't been so horrid for almost every character on the show for months what happened on the 29th *might* bother me more. As is, imo, Sheffer came on board and seemed to go psycho on us - (especially when it came to EJ) - but he didn't seem to understand most of the other characters either. -- for that matter he *still* doesn't get some of them and what he's done to Sami is worthy of a trip to the gallows. I realize a lot of people did like his writing up until January or so, but it didn't work for me and it sure didn't feel like I was watching Days - at least not until around May when things seemed to start changing for the better. It's not that he wasn't writing "exciting" things before then because he was - but he didn't seem to understand the characters and had them doing things that were abnormal at best and plain bizarre most of the time. Things were getting better before Ed Scott was hired, but his influence really seemed to change things - for the better that is - and to the point that Days finally started feeling like itself again. Wiping out most, if not all, that was written during the "dark days" (by making it a dream or something) wouldn't have bothered me a bit and I've put most of it aside as is -- and not just when it comes to EJ! Another part of the reason the re-hashing - or droning on and on about whatever EJ was supposed to have done is annoying is because he's not the only character that's done "bad" things - BUT the things he did were a result of whatever twisted things were going on in Sheffer's mind for a while there. And if Beth M and JS hadn't made me love EJ before Sheffer's material started showing, I'm sure I would have stopped watching Days while things were so bi-polar (if only to keep my own sanity!). EJ's not a saint - but lucas, sami and the majority of the other characters aren't either -- Actually out of the regular cast, lucas and sami are up near the top of the list of those who have done terrible things. EJ did a lot in a very short period of time compliments of Sheffer. Sami and lucas have done a lot over a longer period of time compliments of various writers. So we get the EJ's a rapist / lucas let Sami go to death row; EJ's a rapist / lucas physically assaulted Sami and on and on and on back and forth and round and round we go. And I'm tired of spinning in circles. I don't expect any character on any soap to be perfect or even reflect my own moral or ethical views - I want to be entertained and see them do wild, wicked and totally soapy things. Days seems to be trying to get out of the rut they were in and move on -- and I'm more than ready to do the same. It's so refreshing to be able to say I like the show again, and to be able to look forward to watching it again-- *all* of it, not just EJ or EJ/Sami, Bo/Hope or whatever select few characters. I don't expect perfection, but Days *has* been getting better - and the back and forth about EJ / lucas is like a rusty old ball and chain that keeps clanking around detracting from the positive changes and decent storylines. Neither "side" is going to agree but I don't even think that bothers me anymore -- it's more like just bury it - drop it - stop beating the freaking dead horse already!! There's enough going on with Days to talk about without the stupid fighting over which character has done the worst things IN THE PAST.

Members adrianna17
Its debateable when someone who is supposedly raped can be alone with her rapist, can kiss them without any force, has admitted to having feelings for the guy. I mean its not like EJ shut off lights and killed countless life in fertility clinic. Who can root for a baby killer?
