AMC: Recent history is totally rewritten ( spolier)

Just read over at Soapzone that next week Joe will tell Ryan and Kendall no one is to blame for Spike's deafness.

They put viewers through 6 months of nonsense and now they rewrite it so that Greenlee had nothing to do with it.

Are these writers on CRACK?

Can everyone wait to see Kendall bow and scrape and lick Greenlee's boots?

Not even Mctavish would do something like this.

I know I can't. If I never hear Kendall screetching about how Greenlee ruined her life and the lives of her precious babies again it will be too soon. I've had enough. Yes, Greenlee was wrong for taking Spike for 20 mins, but she was bringing him home when she had the accident. She was wrong, but she's not the most evil person to hit pine valley and I'm sick of Zendull and Erica acting like she is when they are the last people who should be throwing stones. Ever.

You mean, Spike was going deaf anyway? If that's so, then, what was the point to the "Crash" rip-off?

Do these people have such little self-confidence in their own work that they think a simple, yet compelling, tale of a couple coping with their son's permanent disability isn't effective unless they can work it into a big, splashy, Sweeps stunt?

Lame, Jim and Barbara. Really, really lame.

This is utter freaking BS!

This right here is exactly why we're getting a rewrite. Frons' target audience right there everyone. Just ugh

Seriously I have no words for this.

Taking Spike for 20 minutes? It takes 20 minutes to drive 20 MILES the opposite direction, that's a mile a minute, damn, she had to be doing 100 MPH....Just wow, that's more than reckless and child endangerment.....

Hmm I'd say they have plenty of reasons to throw stones, unlike the baby maiming bitch, they actually pay for their crimes and 3/4 of the cast didn't have to be thrown under a bus to prop their sorry asses.

I hope Sabine is dancing the streets at having to do NOTHING day after day while everyone else works their asses off.....

Yes I'm that pissed off

<_<

Kendall, Ryan and Zack have also done shitty stuff and been redeemed. I think it's only fair that if they dirty Greenlee up so that Kendall can play martyr that they clean her back up when they're done. At least B&E are trying to write a little balance, instead of having Zendall and Ryan be the Saints who can do no wrong, while Greenlee takes the fall for them.

Kendall playing victim to big bad Greenlee was getting old fast. I've hated Kendull for over a year and even I felt a little sympathy for her when she regretted screwing Greens over. It made her much more human than when she acts like she has the right to walk all over everyone as long as she thinks she protecting her family. Now if only B&E could write some compelling stories we'd be somewhere because watching Kendall go on about "her boys' (dear god, it's Carly all over again) isn't doing it for me.

Too bad. You can take your condescending comments and shove them. Just because we don't all worship Zendull doesn't mean we are Frons target audience. You're obviously lapping up the Zendull is the greatest couple ever crap, so think before you throw stones at those who see things differently. How is anyone working harder than Sabine? Kendall is crying about her children every day like she has for the last three months. What a challenge for AM!!

How ironic. If anyone was thrown under the bus it was Greenlee, so that Kendell could play THE BESTMOMMYINTHE WORLD. She was turned into a "baby maiming bitch" to prop Zendall. Personally, I don't care if she drove three hours in the wrong direction with Spike. At least she was on her way back and realized her mistake. Zack isn't even sorry for all the things he's done to Greenlee, but it's the Greenlee supporters who are brainwashed. Sure. <_<

GMAFB no one but Greenlee ever need propping. I guess you missed the memo that POPULAR CHARACTERS/COUPLES don't need propping LMAO..........this was vintage GreenME  Oh and she was NEVER popular, Rebecca was, GreenME not so much, hence why they had to make her Jack's daughter to make her viable....

GreenME fans should be dancing in the streets that all of this gets whitewashed at VIEWERS expenses. Tell me again how she doesn't need propping? This right there shows otherwise and that B&E know they wrote her into a corner they can't write her out of.

This stinks worse than anything they ever did to Babe or KWAK <_<

Yep, and how insulted are you? They held the show HOSTAGE with this storyline for 6 months, then suddenly "Oh Greenlee didn't deafen Spike" when we clearly know otherwise given what was said ONSCREEN

Oh I think they found McT's crack pipe....

Please. By this logic Jason Morgan isn't propped. The characters that supposedly don't need to be propped are propped all the time. That's how they get and stay popular. Greenlee was thrown under the bus so that Kendull could look good, just like JR was when Spike was born.

I never said Greenlee doesn't need propping. Of course she does, since she had to take the fall so that Zendull could look good. But 4 months of Kendall and her kids haven't done much for ratings have they? Guess the Zendall show isn't really that popular or AMC wouldn't be at an all time low in viewers.

    • It would have been great if CBS had worked things out with P&G and brought SFT back to the network in 1987 when they knew Capitol was going to be axed. Then hired good writers to do their thing to revitalize the show. No offense to the late great Bill Bell, but B&B has been a mess.
    • Thanks. Wish those appearances were available.

    • Regarding the NBC years of SFT. Joanna Lee did a good job. She gave Jo a great story and ratings rised but Joanna left because she hated the pace of daytime. I remember seeing Joanna Lee’s great big red hair one day outside the studio. lol Her hair exited the studio before she did.
    • Contra Costa Times,  2 January 1977 The three major TV networks are revving up for a daytime programming race. It promises to be an especially exciting one to watch, and an absolutely frustrating one as well for serial soap opera viewers. Eyebrows were raised when NBC announced that Its new serial starting Monday “Lovers and Friends" would be berthed in the 11:30 am time dot on Channels 3 and 4 against Nielsen ratings lion “Search For Tomorrow" on CBS Channels 5 and 10. NBC - TV has not had a late morning serial in its daytime line-up since the early 1960s. And to pit a new aerial against established shows is in the words of NBC vice - president of daytime programs Madeline David “a very courageous aggressive daring and I hope long term creative move" It's also audaciously calculating because the men who developed the new show are writer/ creator Harding Lemay and producer Paul Rauch. This team forged “Another World" into NBC's top rated and artistically successful daytime program. David states that "Nobody expects this or any other serial to do well overnight. A serial takes a year and a half before it begins to make any headway before it can develop a loyal following. But she is so enthusiastically positive about “Lovers and Friends" that it doesn't appear to faze her a bit that ABC programmers pulled a last minute surprise by shuffling the time slots of “AIl My Children" and "Ryan’s Hope" recently before NBC debuts its new product. On paper “RH” and “LAF" have similar formats - the interactions between a wealthy family and its less - well off neighbors. Identlfiable locales — New York and Chicago respectively. extensive locations shootings and an emphasis on exciting attractive young talent. The ABC move may put the double whammy on the soap simply because of "RH's” already tested and hopefully assured audience loyalty. On the other hand Lemay and Rauch's skilled efforts could very well steal the audience in this time period. ABC's move is also geared for the expected expansion of "All My Children" to an hour format in the spring
    • And still actively working. Happy belated birthday to the diva and fellow Gem.
    • Contra Costa Times, 2 January 1977 Meanwhile CBS and "Search For Tomorrow" have not been idly twiddlng their creative thumbs This week and next pop singer Melissa Manchester will be making guest appearances on the show. Miss Manchester's stint was one of those feckless larks that came about at what turns out to be a most propitious time While filming the CBS musical special "With Love” last month in Hollywood Michael Nouri (Steve Kaslo on "Search") and his wife photographer Lynn Goldsmith passed a dressing room where Melissa was preparing for a nighttime TV guest shot. Lynn and Melissa are chums from way back when but as they were having a reunion Melissa whispered Into Lynn’s ear "You won’t believe who's standing right behind you in the doorway. It's Steve Kaslo I watch him every day". Lynn nonchalantly answered “I know he's my husband". The singer Immediately pumped Michael about future plot developments on the serial while he quizzed her on her music. They joked "Wouldn't It be a goof for Melissa to appear on ‘Search’ since Michael's character la an aspiring musician - composer? She could play herself an artist interested In the career of a fellow singer" Search" producer Mary-ElIs Bunim took the suggestion seriously and voila Melisa Manchester comes to Henderson USA and convinces Steve Kaslo to go on a concert lour with her. During her appearances Manchester will sing a number of songs written by Michael plus material from her latest album "Help Is On The Way”.

    • 5-19   A mixed bag. On one hand, it's a pretty good episode. Amanda's return is having immediate impact. And I'm here for everyone in Damian's orbit. On the other hand, it still had an air of stalling out this Dumas storyline which has immediately gotten annoying. Okay been annoying. Side-note...Sally is just wasting away being with Billy.   The Bad for Me:   We get more attention on Summer now that she's not on the canvas than we did when she was still on the canvas. It just seems like JG is butthurt that AL left. No one to blame, but himself.    I know we are not going to have Amanda against Billy/Sally. A waste of an actress. Speaking of Amanda, I don't think I will ever get used to the Giggly Heffa/Amanda friendship.   Why mention Jill and that she's retired...which sounds like we are NEVER getting Jess Walton back btw...and have Amanda tell Billy to make amends with her...if she's not coming back?   What was Good for Me:   Just Amanda's presence. Her meeting with Devon, Billy, and Nate. Her meeting with Giggly Heffa. Her meeting with Billy and Sally. And just the air of mystery that MM is giving to Amanda. That intrigues. And to be clear...is the dialogue saying that she knows who Dumas is because she has seen him face-to-face or do they video-talk or move through his assistant? I was unclear. But it would be VERY interesting if she has seen his face and know who it really is.    Awwww at Amy and Damian reaching a point where they are completely getting along. But I liked the scenes with them and Nate, Devon, and Lily. And Damian and Lily...I like of course.
