I don't understand why Eden's rape made the cut, but Sunny Adamson's rape (on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW) didn't. And speaking of SEARCH, where is the Henderson flood on the list? Or Travis and Liza's trip to Hong Kong? Or even Jennifer Pace shooting Eunice dead, or Vargas kidnapping Jo?

There are a lot of things that deserved to be on there but just aren't, IMO in favor of more and more GH things. AMC's tornado very much deserves to be up there somewhere. I also believe Jack and Erica's wedding should have made the list somewhere.

IMO, the biggest AMC moment that they managed to leave off the list would have to be when Tom confronted Erica about her birth control use in November 1979. That scene lives on in the memory of anybody who's gotten the chance to see it.

This list was made by people suggesting any and every scene they wanted. If someone thought Jeremy Hunter dying as a statue was memorable on LOVING, they could have nominated that. After that was done, the site compiled the list using whatever method they used. I emailed in a few suggestions (Heather Webber) and am pleased it was chosen.

I sent in a couple of Palmer scenes from AMC but they didn't make the cut.

Clink-Boom is there, at No. 58.

As brilliant as the BJ's death story was, three moments on the list is a bit much, especially given there's no Doug Cummings/"Someone To Watch Over Me" reveal from ATWT (that's a nearly unforgivable omission.) Also, I'm surprised they couldn't find a clip of Nola/Quint in the hot air balloon.

Palmer and the Dobermans! C'mon, that was a huge, iconic moment!

I'm just shocked that I know and recognize just about every one of these 100 moments. And I have seen most of them, or at least stills in SOD/SOW or youtube archives.

I obviously am invested WAY too much in the soap world :-)

    • Welcome @SoapCurios it is nice to see new people here. Many episodes from The City still aren't available, but if I find any that touch on Azure's story, I will post them.
    • I'm not invested in Ted as a character anymore either. He's not the same.
    • I have a feeling it was either coincidence or it was an idea whose time had come. Remember Bill Bell was also into the psycho-sexual. So it was happening more than one place. Pete Lemay began disagreeing with Irna quite early on. He shut up & listened at first, naturally because he had to learn the basics. But, as soon as he had, they began to have arguments, disagreements. They both were devotees of character-driven but the similarities stopped pretty quickly. Bolin as far as AW was concerned was nuts & bolts, or more $$$. It was all about the numbers. And the numbers were great, double the ad revenue & that went to the network. As far HTSAM was concerned, that was her baby, no one else's. It is so funny to me that Lemay started this by accident.

    • What did you all think of Hogan/Patti compared to the stuff with Liza and Sonny? Did you buy anything about Sonny and Bela? Has a recast ever decentralized a character as much as Sherry's exit did with Liza? Or do you think that would have happened even if Sherry had stayed?
    •     I think the three comments pretty much summarize my thoughts. The green is not pleasant. I think I know where they were going with it, but it doesn't translate on screen.  The bar at Uptown is actually pretty good. It's my favorite part. I totally get it having an East Coast vibe. I used to frequent a place like it and while I wouldn't necessarily call it pretty...it was a bit Kitsch but it had a vibe. This place is lacking the vibe. I know it's not easy to hire extras, but even having a karaoke night in the background or live music would change the whole feel.  Vernon and Anita having breakfast there was a great idea. Another place besides the country club where they could talk. However, why were they using country club china at an establishment like Uptown. It just seems a bit confused. I don't understand what it's supposed to be.
    • Add me to the list of people who like Tanisha Harper as Jordan I never understood any of the criticism of her, to be honest. She's gorgeous and she's solid in her role. Sounds like a soap staple to me.
    • Thanks for the walk down Memory Lane!   (Can you imagine what the synopsis for 2024/2025 will look like 50 years from now?  It'll basically just be a flowchart of who was the CEO of which unseen corporation, lol.)
    • Yes . Its time to get these folks outta their clothes lol.
